REP Fitness, you guys are the ONLY fitness equipment companies that actually listens to and understands its customer needs. You guys nail it every time and way ahead of anyone else. The only item that people might want after ARES and ATHENA is a smith machine which I am sure you guys are secretly planning 😁💪 Thanks for all the hard work!!

Yes! I have an Athena 5000 series in the middle of my gym room (Setup almost EXACTLY like the one in the video) and I really wish I could extend crossmembers behind or in front of the lat/low row pins and put a smith machine in there and make an 8 post rack, that way my elderly dad can simultaneously do his workout safely while I'm in the power cage. With a smith machine attachment, Rep racks would be unbeatable by any other brand. It's infinitely modular and as long as they keep producing new attachments like leg extension/curl bars, and a central dip bar to use with the belt squat, and also if they can bring back the monolift hooks there is no reason to ever set foot in a commercial gym again.

as an owner of the PR4000, I am grateful for all the innovation from REP! I do wish I had known that selectorized lat/Low row were eventually coming out - and I wouldn't have gotten the plate loaded lat/low row attachment... I feel like I got the lesser upgrade : / I wonder if there will ever be a trade-in (trade up?) option for those of us who are "stuck" with a plate loaded, and would much rather have a stack, instead of shelling out thousands for side mounted stacks...

if we want to use the ISO arms while having athena do they need to move to separate posts to utilize their full range on motion? as using them on the same post will reduce the ROM of both? @Rep Fitness

Any thoughts on a belt squat that can hook up to the Ares. Also a bench attachment that could use the stack for ham curls and leg exercises would be neat.

Why does the adding the Selectorized lat low row to a 4 post PR5000 16” rack with the dual weight stack Selectorized Athena add 27” ? It doesn’t make sense because you are putting the 2.0 RBS inside of the 4 post uprights! What I am missing that you are saying that it adds 27 inches to a 4 post rack ? The Selectorized lat low row is made the same way as it is for a 6 post rack ?
@BradleyADavis

Looks like going with selectorized lat/low row and Athena over Ares is going to be marginally cheaper, easier to install and would allow for having three (vs. two) weight settings reducing need to reselect weight when doing things like supersets.

Is the Athena center mount lat pull-down and low row (either selectorized stack or plate loaded option) a 2:1 ratio?
@REPfitness
@REPfitness Жыл бұрын
So the Athena goes between your side uprights and is 2:1 since it has an adjustable trolley. You can either get one Athena or two... if you want to do things like chest flys. Then a separate piece you're talking about is the plate loaded or selectorized lat pull down and low row. It can be used for a lot more exercises than that, but this one is 1:1. All of them are here: repfitness.com/collections/cable-rack-attachments

Hey Rep! I just want to ask something, with the selectorized Athena the 170lb option splits into 85lb left and right stacks correct? I’m just trying to gauge the ability to do isolation exercises with the selectorized vs plate loaded Athena.
@REPfitness
@REPfitness Жыл бұрын
Hey Chris! Each stack weighs 170lbs per side (feels like 85lbs) with the option to upgrade each stack to 220lbs (feels like 110lbs). With the built in band peg attachments, you can add bands for a lot of resistance too. But for most functional trainer exercises, 110lbs (if you upgrade) of resistance is quite a bit. Hope that clarifies things, and feel free to drop us a line or shoot us an email for even faster responses... repfitness.com/pages/contact-us Thanks!

We specifically say that our more complicated attachments like the Athena and Ares do not work with other companies racks. However, we have seen some people get our crossmembers, keep the rogue uprights, and the Athena work. Again, this may require some DIY. Alternatively... you can just sell the rogue rack on facebook marketplace/offer up and go all-in on REP. We are continuing to push the envelope and innovate the best attachments in the game.

You should definitely add the lat/low row to the rack builder option when building an athena on the website. I just made the purchase, but it wasnt as user friendly as it could be and didnt set me up to view it all in the 3D viewer together. The Athena is more expensive maxed out with the lat / low row than the Ares, but it seems like you advertise the Ares as the flagship item. A bit confusing.
