Honestly, I enjoyed the movie. The chemistry between Rockwell and BDH worked for me, and I saw it as lighthearted entertainment. My wife loved it even more. Admittedly, I found it a bit too lengthy, and the CGI felt subpar, lacking authenticity. The post-credits scene was downright awful. Despite its flaws, I had a good time, rating it around a high 6.5. Opinions may vary, but I'm not particularly eager for more of the same. Wish we had more of Cena and Cavil.

Henry Cavill and John Cena are completely wasted in this boring action movie. I like the concept of a writers story come to life like in the romcoms "Alex & Emma" or "Paris When It Sizzles" with Audrey Hepburn, but be sure to cast actors with amazing chemistry. I came for Henry thinking he was gonna be the star but instead it's all Bryce Dallas Howard and Sam Rockwell. Honestly, I'm really sorry to say this, but I wanted to save money so I checked the pirated version. I'm glad I did because I couldn't help but continuously forwarding the movie out of boredom.

Man I used to be a big Matthew Vaughn fan, Kick-Ass is one of my first loves for comic book movie genre, I know you revealed last night on the stream you’re not a big First Class guy, but I think First Class is one of the best X-Men movies so we disagree on that, the first Kingsman of course, Layer Cake is cool, also Stardust with Charlie Cox, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Robert De Niro is really good fantasy film, which also had Henry Cavill in it too. But yeah from Kingsman: The Golden Circle to what I’m hearing from this, he seems too run out of tricks, almost the point where this looks surprisingly bland, like Red Notice level bland from the trailers with the CGI/green screen and it’s a $200 Million Budget, how? And it seems like a waste of a great cast. Apparently his next movie might be a musical written by Damien Chazelle so at least that might make him try something different than what he’s been making now, but we’ll see. I miss the old Matthew Vaughn.

Spot on review. I've always thought the same thing about Vaughn. It's like he's been making the same film for nearly a decade. The man's a bit of a hack, if you ask me.

I saw Argylle at a drive-in, so I wasn't expecting much. Still, I was disappointed at how much of a convoluted mess it was. Sam Rockwell was okay, but none of the other major characters were believable or likeable in any way, especially Bryce Dallas Howard, who seems to rely on her quirkiness. I didn't believe her as a top notch spy novelist, and I believed her even less as a super spy. The stupid cat was a distraction, as were the short, silly performances by Henry Cavil and John Cena. I really liked the first two Kingsmen movies, but the third was crap and Argylle is worse.

As someone from the UK I find Matthew Vaughan cringey and makes the kind of film people think the UK is like (all stiff upper lips and smart suits) but trust me it not. It seems the movie tone is all over the place, but I would argue all his film are all over the place, including the first Kingsman.

As a huge Matthew Vaughn fan, I was actually crushed by this one. So disappointing. Just a greatest hits compilation without any of the elements that made these things work in the past. The movie actually got worse with every single twist- and there were A LOT of twists. Post credits scene was Morbius level bad. Great review from Juicy as always tho.

I was with it during the first half but it fell apart for me after . But it made me want to see Cavill and Cena in a better movie together

This script felt like a first draft where the writers just jotting down ideas and never going back to fine tune those ideas. How does the ending make any sense it was established that Bryce dallace Howard was argyle in the movie and then for Henry cavill still be argyle

Vaughn needs to film good scripts. His cinematography and action scenes are off the hook. Loved Kick Ass 1, loved Kingsman 1. Kingsman 2 could have been something but just turned into a Wacky Races cartoon. He should have made Harry the bad guy especially with the father son relationship he had with Eggsy.

It's more of rip off of Romancing the Stone.

Liked Vaughan's first two movies but found everything afterwards (with the exception of X-Men: First Class) a little vapid and kind of 'cheap and nasty' feeling... both in terms of story and production. I've only seen bits and pieces of Argylle so far, so can't really judge but based on reactions it doesn't look good... Don't mind the stylistic flat-top though. Clearly meant to be recognisable in its ridiculousness and potentially meme-worthy. That's what the marketing people seem to like these days... I ain't saying it's right!!!🤣 It's the Spidey III phenomenon!

I think Kingsman are good movies. The second one wasn't as fresh as the first, but it was good. My issue is why doesn't he just finish it? I'd watch a Kingsman 3, but the first Kingsman and this? No thank you. I'm not invested in this world without Galahad.
