Ariana's "put her vocals on top" to Mariah is the equivalent of Michael "i love you" to Diana Ross and Mariah "all hail the queen of Soul" to Aretha Franklin when they performed together. All were at the peak of their career but they couldn't help but loving and idolizing their idols. Young fans can't grasp the gravity of Mariah being on Ariana's record, but Ari surely does. It's not about the charts or the sales, it's about getting the divine connection with your source of inspiration and getting to directly give them the flowers they deserve.

@@cameronalexander1111 All I'm saying is when you produce a song how the end result will sound to the listener should always be the priority. But this, she said it herself. "I want to hear only her." It's fine, it's Ari's song, it's a remix, and Mariah is her inspiration. I still think the mixing, as the listener, is not very good. However, this event clearly represented something very special to Ari so I give her a pass on this. And now I know there's a valid reason for Mariah being so overly loud in the remix and not just a careless artistic choice or mistake. So apparently Ari just wants the song to be a tribute to Mariah whenever she herself listens to it. So it will make me appreciate the Yes, And? remix a little more from now on by knowing that. It does matter to me that it made Ariana happy. It matters more to me that she was happy than what I think of it, knowing how much Mariah Carey means to her. So it's all good now.

Mariah Carey is an icon and a celebrity to the celebrities. A true legend of singing, songwriting and producing. Architect of modern music's sond, one of the most influential artists of all time setting a bar so high that as of today she remains the Gold standard for A+ aspiring vocalists worldwide to measure themselves against her prowess. Today I respect Ariana more because instead of dissing or remain ignorant after the people who opened a path for new singers she pays homage to legends unlike other artists or even her own fans at times. Ari understands legacy and even if legends dont sell as much as they used to but they don't have to, their legacy is so much bigger and more important than sales because some artists only sell but when their time on top starts declining they leave nothing behind as legacy. "All hail and bow to Mariah Carey, The Queen of Divas, Protector of the vocal skills from the realm, Archiduchess of Vocal range/registers, Empress of agility, The unmatched, The Mellisma mother, The Goddess of Songwriting and producing, The one often imitated, but never duplicated, The embodiment of pure success",.
