this whole thing unfolding is so needed and long overdue, but there is a very dark feeling and weird emotion i get looking back at what i watched during my childhood. thinking “hm, that’s kind of weird, whatever!” but never questioning. now looking back and knowing what i know now, it makes me feel.. dirty? ik it’s not our fault, and we didn’t know what our favorite stars were going through, but it just makes me feel very weird that our entertainment was at their peril

I don’t even watch or listen to most things from our childhoods anymore. So much of our favorite artists and musicians are turning out to be involved in some of the most vile and disgusting things someone can do or have happen to them. You can hear the pain and see the trauma in the voice and eyes of these people we grew up watching, we just didn’t see it without hindsight…

Dee, The topic of AI children in film is actually an old discussion that is still being debated to combat against entertainment companies who sneakily work against child labor laws which are still fairly new. AI children is also one of those scary slippery slope discussions when you consider everything that a studio can get away with. If not regulated properly, then AI children could inevitably touch on the CP arena in film with little to no repercussions.

I’m glad they’re speaking up, tho I find it odd that there was so much pressure on them (Ariana in particular) to do so in the first place. A lot of the stuff that went on was traumatic and they probably don’t want to relive those memories. We are looking at this as observers mainly, it’s not necessarily our place to judge

The cold hard reality though is you can't run away from your troubles. You can't just ignore them either. If you try to do something about the things (or people) that traumatized you OR at least you face your problems head on and work through your feelings, then you can find peace. Ariana finally speaking up, having been the biggest star from Nickelodeon and the only one remaining silent is the first big step towards Dan and the others getting what they deserve. Cause when Ariana Grande says something, people listen. Maybe she can breathe a little easier when justice has been served.

It’s not always about getting older & wiser. Ppl just think a lot differently in 2024, than we did 20+ years ago. I notice that the younger generation gets creeped out, or becomes wary about things a lot easier. Nowadays, feet make ppl think about fetishes and such, probably bc the proliferation of that stuff on the internet. That wasn’t the first thing that came to mind years ago. I think a lot of the foot stuff simply about kids and doing weird gross things, like a lot of kid shows were doing.
