But at the start she did just do collabs with bigger artists rather than on her own. When you think of that song with big sean, then Jessie j and Nicki Minaj, iggy izelea (when she was hot with fancy) with zedd, Chris Brown, Nicki minaj again... Untill she finally started doing solo songs. But I get what you're saying. Social house are here friends and collabed on the thanku next album. So it makes sence that they continue. That's when she became herself. I feel like before she was never actually her true self with those collabs but realised she axtually doesn't mind dance music. Like the song break free. Because she wasn't high on the dance and pop sounds. But she did them to gain more mainstream popularity untill her personal life with her mac and Pete also became a big focus. I feel like Pete actually brang her out her shell more because he was very much himself and swearing freely. She started swearing openly more since with him i noticed. and once they brokeup and Mac passed, that's when she didn't care for the collabs or do things to get popular anymore, because she got to that level. (I bet scooter did that) So then she just made music She wanted to do with lyrics she wanted focused more on her real life thats publiszed so the audience knows because we see and read it. So it almost comes across more singersongwriter as aposed to just singing well and them being hits. It's almost like she actually began at sweetener, rather than her very first album.
