We review the brand new Ariel Atom 4, a huge leap forward in refinement and fun. There are fewer cars in the world that deliver a pure driving experience and a manual transmission, this is one of the last. We cover how it's manufactured, the technical side, and much more. Whether you are in the UK or North America, the driving impressions on the street and track will help paint the picture. There are other cars like the Porsche 718, Mustang GT500, Corvette C8, and Lotus Evora in a similar price tag, which would you choose?

I would love to agree with all the ass kissing, but I dislike the justifications when things come up short. For example, listen to the segment on the traction control, simple, just wheel sensors, no g sensors to break... you know, like those millions of g sensors in millions of production vehicles out there that have not broken? Sure, a few have no doubt broken, but some brakes have failed, too. Shall we leave those out so they can't fail? I'm not looked at the option list and perhaps more sophisticated direction control is available, perhaps along with antilock brakes. There's nothing wrong with the way it comes, but please spare me the ridiculous justifications.

@@jackrobinson3392 Still for a single seater that is an open cockpit car it’s extremely pricey. And I’ve never been on Anglesey but it’s a short track where pure power advantage doesn’t have much impact. I’ve been on track with a BAC mono in my GT4 and Corvette Z06 and it didn’t blow the doors off my vette. The driver was not very capable though. Plus when you buy a P1, Senna, Porsche 918 or any other hyper exotic, you are buying a collectible car that has real cache and the marque that goes with it. Hence the high price tag.

@motopolak
@motopolak 3 жыл бұрын
Totally agreed on the limited depreciation, especially if you get one used. I drooled over an Atom for a long time until I discovered the Exocet (sometimes referred to as the poor man's Atom). I didn't have a garage at the time and wasn't sure how long it would take me to build one, so I started searching the used market, found a used one at $14k and resold it for the same a year later. I probably got 90% of the overall experience and didn't really lose any money so it was a win-win for me! All that being said, the Atom is still on my bucket list... just have to do some more saving.
@wigletron2846
@wigletron2846 3 жыл бұрын
Look into an exocet. It's basically a miata with a tube frame. You can throw any motor in you like. It's not mid engine like an atom but you can build one for less than 30k including a donor miata

Yeah man there are few kit cars like the Exocet that was mentioned or a Factory Five 818 that can be built for less than $30k, and you get about 80% of the experience of an Atom. Of course if you go all out with suspension and power upgrades, for about $20k more you can potentially be almost as fast as one.

The people who blame weight gain purely on diet are missing about 20 years of research. It's also largely dependent on stress levels, medical issues, and genetics. For instance, thyroid problems can cause excessive weight gain. Body weight is a little more than just simple input -> output, and I say this as an underweight guy.

The sound you hear is the blow off valve NOT the wastegate. There IS a difference and turbo cars have BOTH of these and the terms are NOT interchangeable! The wastegate diverts exhaust gas around the turbine to control boost. The Blow Off Valve lets compressed air vent out of the intake pipe to keep this from pushing back into the compressor wheel in the turbo (which is the sound you hear when the bov opens releasing compressed air)

This is, without a doubt, one of the most earnest, well thought out programs I've ever watched. Is it selfish that I never want SavageGeese to ever stop?

Oh jesus i been geekin over the Atom for the past few years. More so the past couple weeks, i been watching geese's reviews of it a few times. Now this gem of a vid comes along. Havent even watched it yet but i know its going to be a banger Edit: yes it definitely was a banger. Video quality is toppest of the notches. Mr. Geese, this channel really is a gift. All the information i needed to want to buy this car, i found (just need the money now LOL). You communicate so goddamn well.
