Most hip hop scenes outside of the US are a lot closer to the indie/underground scenes from the older era, where things were a lot more about the standards of the culture. You call yourself the best, don't be afraid to go out and actually prove it on a regular basis. Certain cats like Mos and Lupe have shown they have no problem with it. Others, not so much....

And also, what really annoys me about it is that he doesn't talk that way to anyone outside of Hip Hop culture. It almost comes across feeling to me like he thinks that he has to talk a certain way to black guests and I see it as being insulting and racist. Hiphop is having people want to talk and dress a certain way. I do uber and i pick up white guys/girls and people from the safest neighborhoods and once they step in the car they start talking like their "ghetto" listening to drill and trap music in their little ear buds,it's hilarious. It's like nearly everyone wants to be a part of this "hip-hop" thing. That's why some overseas rappers sound ridiculous because it's like when the culture started people liked it and want to mimic it no matter where they're from.
