Facts. G Rap birthed Nas, Pun & Em in my opinion. I heard when Pun 1st met G Rap he bowed down to him & kissed his ring. That was showing his upmost respect. That’s from a lyrical assassin to another. G Rap has to be #1. He’s been killing it since 86 & is still a monster til this day.

Great interview! To be fair, although I think JayZ is generally a standoffish dude unless you're already a star, all his encounters with Jay were in public spaces. Whereas with Nas it was a more intimate setting. I'm sure Aries realized that as well.

Very! I don't think a lot of people understand that. Went right over Aries's head which made me think he doesn't know as much about hip hop as he claims. There were a few times in this joint that the interviewer just casually made hip hop head level points and Aries didn't seem to understand lol.

Eminem had to dumb down to a certain degree also. It’s a nature of pop music and what is palatable to the masses. Eminem also needed to plug into scandal culture to generate that necessary buzz, also an example of “dumbing it down”. But I do see what he’s saying.

And nas has dropped 6 great albums in the last 3 years the goat same az has dropped 2 great album latest years. And to say Pac or dmx is not lyricall is the same as being delusional Pac is a poet and one of the best writers only nas for me thats better just to write poetry is being lyricall cause that something not many can do. Like Jay z is not a top 5 lyricist no way for me hes overrated thats my opinion. But the narrative that Pac is not lyricall needs to stop hes one of the most lyricall.

Em ain’t that great to me. He only sold because he was talking about drugs, killing his mom and baby mom. That’s what his audience understood. It was funny to me but when his third album came he got wack. Got on a song with Jay and now he suddenly a goat. His skill set wasn’t anything new under the sun. He simply was just white
