He said in this interview there’s a lot of people with platforms that don’t allow you to speak the truth and THIS platform he saw that he could actually speak his truth and get the traction to basically speak on the actual head people in charge of basically running the music industry like a mad mafia. I felt that Dame was extremely rude to him. He continually interrupted him & stopped him, he raised his voice and used certain nuances that made him (PBD) seem ignorant. To sum it up, I believe Suge is saying that he became a threat to the old guard of the industry by refusing to conform to the old business model that they had been using since the beginning. See a lot of the labels that popped up like Bad Boy were not actual companies, but were basically subsidiaries of major labels. In contrast to Death Row which was set up as a real company under their own parent company called Godfather Entertainment. Suge had all the building blocks to become a true corporation that could compete with the majors. Personally, I think his misstep was becoming a public face, showing up at all the award shows and turning himself into the face of Death Row Records. I understand why he did it because he felt like he needed to do that self promotion to attract talent, but once he signed Pac and other big artists, the smartest thing to do would have been to remove himself from public view. Think of it like this, you can't take down Pepsi by taking down the CEO of Pepsi, but when the image of a company is directly tied to the image of a single person ... well, then all they had to do was take down that one person.
