我個人理解廣東話粵語中的「多謝」跟「唔該」多聚焦于有否接受到實質的饋贈及得益,以送禮物為例假設班裡面有交換禮物的活動,當天小明送了一份你預期會收到的禮物,還是會說「多謝」,如果你想人家讓路給你通行的話就會說「唔該」,但比方坐你前面的同學把工作紙傳給你,這時會說「唔該」,還有其他別人幫你忙(do you a favour)像是幫拾起地下的東西﹑開門給你﹑讓座等等都是屬於「唔該」的運用範疇。
I live and work in the US. Not just Chinese but Americans also habitually put "Thank you" at the end for requests. Like in an email someone wants to ask me for something and it often ends with "Thank you" or "Thank you in advance".

I'm not a native English speaker. But I heard that "thank you" in a request to others is actually the same as in Japanese, which is usually not recommended.

@@yayahungnah, it’s definitely okay to use thank you in pretty much all situations. However, when you’re asking someone to do something for you or help you, the choice of ‘will’, ‘can’, ‘please’ and ‘beg’ define the tone. Please is more polite, works in all situations; can is in a definite and forceful manner; and ‘will’ is in a casual way, non definite, you don’t have to help but would be great if you do.
英语感觉好像跟中文有相似之处吧,我感觉现在有不少人都会说thank you 而不是please,或者把 please 和thank you连起来说。 比如像,can you buy me a drink,thank you或者像 can you borrow me your laptop tmr please?thank you这样的 也许这只是口语 但是感觉还是很常见的 😂
