The song is talking about all youth on earth today not just members of the church. It is the call for all of us to arise and shine forth so rise up and stop hating.

I've been going through some difficult times the last couple months with a lots of ups and downs. And I recently found this song accidentally, and it has helped me "arise and shine." I may not be perfect, but it does not mean I can't strive to be an example to help those around me.

I know for a fact this church is true! Its time for me to 'Arise'! I love this song and the gospel!

I think the song is trying to inspire sentiments that are the exact opposite of what you just said. It's not an appeal to ego. It's an appeal to the noble, divine attributes of the human spirit to rise up beyond the mediocrity, skepticism and immorality of this world so that we can be of greater help to those who are struggling NO MATTER THEIR COLOUR, RACE OR UBRINGING. Life is too short and the world is too small. Let's just try to help each other, eh? ;D

I'll apologize right now if this offends you, but there are a few things in that statement that simply aren't true. The church does not teach that any one person is better than any other, but stresses very strongly humility and respect. Neither do they teach discrimination, like in this song they say "reaching out to all people, reaching out to all nations." the LDS church teaches that God loves all of his children not just the ones in the church. They glorify in the happiness of others.

I want to make this play as a morning alarm on Alexa but Alexa can't play downloaded music. I can't find it on Spotify or Amazon Music. Does anyone have a suggestion or another service to make this work?
