An Arizona Contractors License is a requirement for any business which contracts or offers to contract to build, alter, repair, add to, subtract from, improve, move, wreck or demolish any building, highway, road, railroad, excavation or other structure, development or improvement, or to do any part of the work.
The Arizona Registrar of Contractors (AROC) is the governing agency for contractors in the state of Arizona. There are several different Arizona contractor license classifications, in this video, we will how much it currently costs to get an Arizona Contractors License.
You will first need to meet the basic Arizona contractor’s license requirements:
-18 years of age
-Driver’s License or USA ID
-Social Security
-Not Currently on Probation or Parole
-Be a legal business entity

I could use some clarification on the Residential Recovery Fund. You said Residential contractors must post a cash deposit of 4250-15000 and then something about a second one...yet in the breakdown for a Speciality Residential you say only $370. What am I missing?

So the cash deposit is for your surety bond. The $370 is for the recovery fund assessment. Residential and Specialty Residential contractors must post both the bond and pay into the recover fund assessment. Check out this chart from AROC for clarification: roc.az.gov/bond-information

Hello, I'm attempting to start a curbside painting business, and some of the things I do might fall under being a "Contractor" for example I do have to submit a enroachment permit application when working within a new subdivision. Is there any way you know what do under this scenario? Is there anyways I can be exempt from certain fees, or is it possible that I might not even need a contracting license? Digital Constructive So I went over the material you provided plus some other articles(Thank you for this info) but it seems certain things dont apply. Do you know anywhere I can find info about my business field of work or anyone I can speak to within the state of Arizona to get some clarification.
