Absolutely! Genetically all of the feral hives in AZ have been determined to be Africanized since the late 90's. Each hive will have it's own temperament. Some don't get pissy at all. But when they do....... Reed -KBG

I'm a beekeeper in The Netherlands and I see all the comments below. We don´t have Africanized bees, but once in a while we do have pretty violent colonies. I just tend to kill that queen and replace her for a more soft one. That said....my comment on the topic is ... maybe I wouldn´t have done it the same way, but similar. People that give a hard comment or decide it´s not killerbees just don´t know what they talk about. In the US bees are not native and therefor must be kept out of the wild. Which means beekeepers that want to have colonies that live in the wild must be warned to remove them. However killing those colonies wouldn´t be smart since they´re quite important in the foodchain. In Europe all sort of bees are put on the 'red' endangeroused list, so we are not even allowed to exterminate them. I wouldn´t have killed them....I would have tried to save the colony.

I agree, if you read my comment the person from the channel replied very rudely, and another told me to F off, and assumed that I have no idea of what I was talking about just because I don't post videos on my channel. Try looking for JPthebeeman, or dirt rooster bees, they save colonies. These people even said that the only way to tell an africanized bee from a European bee was with a microscope but I don't see them checking the bees first before decimating the colonies. Any bee can be agressive when they feel that the colony is in danger. God bless! FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE!

As someone who is aspiring to become a beekeeper within the future- even I know (as ignorant as I am about them) that these aren't the type of creatures to kill. In fact, if they look like a bee but don't make honey, then they are underlined a wasp or imitation bee. Either way- africanized or not, killing any form of a bee which produces honey is not a threat to humanity or other honey creators. Ignorance is what threatens life itself.

I am a beekeeper in Northeast Ohio ........ We have no Africanized bees here ....... Those bees were not very aggressive ...... I have saved hives that had bees that were meaner than that lot ......... I understand that state law must be followed, but your state legislators have an ignorance issue .......... Maybe a new law is order ......... Requiring the re-queening of more aggressive (Non-Africanized) wild bee hives that are found and removed ????? ....... All I can say is what a waste ........ That was a strong hive with productive and a pretty docile bee population.

Joakim L M U I totally agree with you my friend this faker guy acting like he some big bee killer guy this was out an out honey robbery you could hear it in his voice the way he smashed his way through the bees nest just to get the honey there was not one aggressive bee about in this shameful video of wilful destruction, this guy needs reporting to the authorities if that’s the way he does his job and glorifies it by posting on utube as a killer bee colony , yes maybe they are Africanised bees but this was the most docile Africanised colony I’ve ever seen , this nest should have been saved not destroyed, thank you my friend for replying to this guys video in a critical way towards them , plus I think this guy doesn’t like criticism because he gets all defensive lol .

This was quite interesting. I'm in Memphis Tennessee which is in the southeastern United States and we don't have Africanized bees here at least not that I know of the most we get here is wasps especially those red mahogany wasps those things will sting you just for the heck of it. I do have one question will those be suits protect you guys from wasps yellow jackets and hornets also? Again I found this quite interesting.

@@jdogus1994 Sometimes the colony can't be saved whatever your best efforts. Nobody wants to kill bees, but sometimes it has to be done. In any case, bees have hit a rough patch, but they are in no danger of going extinct, never mind the hysteria you see in the media. Several breeds of bees resistant to varroa mites and colony collapse disorder are either in development or already being raised. Remember that the media always makes things sound worse than they are; it's the same phenomenon that has TV weathermen howling "Snowpocalypse" when three inches' accumulation is coming.

This hive does NOT appear to be africanized, it showed no super aggressive swarm attacking even when their hive was pillaged! If they where africanized the swarming would have been notably more aggressive. What you DID was destroy a vital part of the ecosystem at a time when honey bees are in decline!!! You made no attempt to relocate the colony to an apiary, or save the colony of pollinators. You destroyed, murdered and pillaged. I honestly hope you are proud of yourself! It seems like click bait, and honey profit is all you are driven by! If you will not ethically handle a non africanized hive, find a REAL beekeeper, and pass the job off to a responsible ethical person!
@KaryssaSmithart
@KaryssaSmithart 5 жыл бұрын
These guys, to my knowledge, are in Arizona. Some Africanized colonies aren't as aggressive and will act more like regular bees. Besides, the queen will usually move away from a lost hive, and a swarm of worker bees will follow her to build a new hive somewhere safer.
