Hi man, nice VW specimen you have here! I currently own a Country as well, located in french alpes I'm curious on wich method you use to lift it up by 1", 2" ? And wich tire size do you wear ?
@karol239822 жыл бұрын
Just 1” on the front nothing big , tires are 27-8.5 R14 MT
@Jeff_F72 жыл бұрын
@@karol23982 Yeah, but I think he wants to know 1) what kit did you use to lift it by 1"? And wow, AZ, my neck of the woods. This is an awesome rare beast. 2) And what trail is this and what part of AZ is it located? I love rare oddball cars like this where manufacturers decided to just build something so off-the-wall, like the Fiat panda 4X4. And 3) where did you source this particular Golf Country?
@karol239822 жыл бұрын
@@Jeff_F7 it’s not a kit car come like that from VW if u look up Vw golf country Mk2 u should find all the info u need . I live in Phoenix Arizona desert all around me here lol

@@karol23982 I may not have been clear enough. I think you misunderstood me. I know all about the golf country mk2. In fact, I always wanted one. As i mentioned in my previous comment, I love rare oddball cars like this or the fiat panda 4x4, etc. I meant to clarify what @BONIFAY Hugo was asking about the suspension. I think he wanted to know what aftermarket SUSPENSION / lift kit or aftermarket suspension parts were used to lift your golf country mk2 even more than standard, if it is lifted higher than a stock Golf Country. It looks slightly higher than a standard Golf Country (which is already quite high) and you mentioned it is lifted further by 1" if I understood you correctly in your previous reply to the guy originally asking. He wants to know (and I want to know) how you achieved that extra lift (e.g. spacers, different springs, shocks, etc.). Also, I live in AZ too. But I wanted to know where exactly in Phoenix this trail is or what's the name of this specific trail? Also, my third question in my previous comment was where did you source this Golf Country (did you import it yourself or purchase it from someone in the US who already imported it, and if you did import it, from what country did you import it from and what was the company that helped take care of all the importation requirements?) ? I'm asking because I'd love to find and import one myself one day.

What engine do you have, and what is your fuel economy? :)

Mattias Nilsson it is 1.9td swap , fuel economy I really don’t know
@Mattias20254 жыл бұрын
@@karol23982 did you swap it? What mods to make a diesel work with syncro gearbox?
@CrankDatPikachu933 жыл бұрын
Even with that setup its probably getting 35+. Folks who put TDI in wranglers claimed they got 30mpg all day long.

The car has more groundclearence than my parents Qashqai.. And thats why own a Vw Country.
@karol239823 жыл бұрын
Well the tires makes it look nice but I do have 1 inch lift on the front so from 8.5 went to 11.5 inch groundclearence
