Ark's Alpha Tek Cave made easy using Tek Suits and Shotguns for the Overseer and a Carcharodontosaurus to clear the way. Could this be the easiest way to ascend, or will Woldy kill me before I get there?
For the dozen or so other times I have ran the Tek Cave, I have guided Rexes through with tribemates. Now it's time to try something a little different.
Let me know in the chat what tactics you've used for Tek Cave.

Not just that bit of lava - I've lost loads in other bits of lava too. Still, it felt like a shame not to pit a massive army against overseer...

Awesome! I didn't think you'd get out of that lava! For anyone curious, those charchas aren't particularly good. Imprinted but hatched at level 150, with very average stats.

Thanks for covering me! That was a good run. Makes me think the carcha might be able to escape all lave pools in the Tek Cave.

Hey! What are the settings you have set for the game vs your pc specs? Looks like it runs really well and looks good for you

Yeah, I love how it runs and how the game looks! I'm running at the setting below the top (I can't remember the name of the setting). I was running it on the best settings, and toned it down because of crashes, but suspect I can turn it up again now the game is much more stable. I'm running a PC with a 4090, 64gb ram and a core i9 13900. To top it off, I've got it in the HAF 700 Evo, which looks awesome 👌

I haven't made any conscious changes to this, so cannot say why or how. I play on PC and have the settings on epic. That's about as much as I do graphically.

Do you have to clear the path down of all dinos or can you just fly over them?

It is possible to fly over using an archaeopteryx. In one of my other videos I used somehow managed to use a jetpack, but typically that shouldn't work (no idea how to replicate the Glitch...). Not sure if a megalania works, but a thylacoleo should.

You do get a reward after killing it . It's the tek binoculars

That is true... and I've made very good use of those. I didn't think I would as once you've done alpha tek cave, prior to the release of scorched earth, there wasn't much else to do. Still, that only makes it worth doing once. Bring back the Tek ATV as an unlock for the second kill!

@@ZedsArk they removed the ATV in order to bring the buggies in the dlc for extinction or something like that

I never built one in ASE but my ASA goal is to branch out a bit in this playthrough.
