Ark Survival Ascended: Greenhouse Base Design

This has been one of my most requested redo's for the Ark Survival Ascended base building update. It turned out so incredibly different than the Ark Survival Evolved counterpart, but I quite like this Ark Ascended Greenhouse build. The tones from Ascended are night and day compared to Evolved. What do you think? Which do you like better?

Disclaimer: Most of my builds are always built with the idea that you may want to follow along in mind, however, they are speed builds at their core and I have been known to change my mind mid build. If you plan to follow along, I suggest watching it through a bit further, first. At least now you can pick pieces up!

You - by far - have my favorite designs being posted so far in this game. Awesome build! I just wish I could find a way to make the crop plots not need to be replanted when I'm only wanting to use them for aesthetic purposes!

Yeah?! THANK YOU!! I feel that though, you could try a mod? I use Circa's Garden Decor for my planting needs. You can place rocks and trees too!

If you don't harvest them, they should last for a long time if you just fill them with fertiliser. As long as they stay fertilised, they stay fully grown, and while they are "maxed out" with crops, the fertiliser drain is significantly reduced.

i really appreciate the blueprint in the beginning. i built this over the ocean and had to build to the center to follow along. the blueprint made it much easier :)

So I ran into a problem, it says can't place wall sign, too many structures of similar type nearby =[

@@kiitarie like a whole big assed beautiful base lol I skipped the signs part, I have no signs in my base, it's says items of this type so I wonder what else that could be, I also used metal rails instead of the wood and skipped the trophy mounts too... Adding all my extra details to your build now

Wooden railings will not place unless we remove glass walls and then place them and place the glass walls. Not sure why. Edit: nvm. I read further down the comments about the structure collision setting. I could have sworn I had this checked but apparently not. All is good now! Love the vid btw!

They were almost the death of me. When I noticed I'd done them upside down I almost scrapped the whole thing and started again but I was so close to done lol

Was eagerly waiting for this one a few months ago, but got distracted by all sorts of other stuff in the game and forgot about it until now 😂 I'm not dissapointed with your results tho! Currently on my way to building it on the water in the center of herbivores island, with the already build A-frame on one leg and the workshop on the way on the other leg. Getting crystal is the biggest bottleneck 😅

Hi Kiitarie, amazing build as always. Had a question/soft request, with the popularity of the Svartalfheim mod map, do you think you'll ever do a build using the Dwarven Builders mod building pieces? I'm really curious to see what your take on a dwarf base would look like!

They can be a right pain. Are you on a server that allows for clipping structures? The server setting is called structure collision.

Tried the same generator placement but the range doesn’t reach the other wing of the greenhouse 😢

I had just one slight corner that wasn't in it :( It would need two gens.

@@kiitarie I have a large base already with a gen. Needed a quick aesthetically pleasing greenhouse so I could start kibble production. The 3 gen limit in the area is killing me lol. I ended up improvising by tucking the gen from outside in the space under the stairs and then I hid it with 2 sloped walls and 2 regular walls with one as a door for easy fuel access. I do think WC needs to add junction boxes to extend the power range in the same way that water can be wirelessly transmitted between tanks. It’s not perfect but it lights up the entire greenhouse by having it under the stairs.

@@kiitarie yeah same 😂 I noticed there was even a sign limit when I was placing the signs for this build. It’s a nonissue since I don’t really use signs outside of this build but it’s there. I love this build now that it’s complete and may I ask which seeds you used to fill the plots that go up the center column? It looks so good!

Yeah, the sign limit is annoying, too. It's also on painting canvases. And rugs when they were in the game. The seed up the middle is savoroot!
