@@listenhere1623 Also that would be a cool feature if Ark had matchmaking or data collection. If you were a troll or made lots of pranks to deliberately ruin someone's else's experience they would only let you on servers with people who troll as well. It would make it so that if you weren't actually ruining someone by raiding their base it would stay with you unless you tried to stop or learned your lesson.

lol i have a i5-3570k and the game works fine for me. never have lag. but im not the type of person the cry about 15 fps diffrence. 30-45-60 who cares. 30 is easly playable.

TJ_ the_Insane id say you don’t understand it. Wildcard didn’t spec the singleplayer right. For one they made it near impossible to win yourself without a team and compared to a normal server. It just doesn’t play the same. And pve is ruined by trolls who put pillars/foundations down everywhere. Even with the decay timer they placed. It still takes ages and makes it impossible to do anything. And pvp is full of dicks who just want to ruin everyone else’s experience or a “server alpha” tribe comes in a destroys you for no reason. Don’t just say don’t play pvp without actually knowing the game

elweasel2010 agreed. A day and a half mosa tame 26 hours (15 of which I was involved) in some alpha tribe who was twice as large as us came up and said "wow nice tame. You wanna trade for him when he's done?" We declined so they left and came back with rockets to ambush us and kill him. Then I quit ark for 3 weeks.

Brig Oh and I know how to play the game but it has a poor balance or set-up on pvp servers. It takes you forever just to create a small safe space hidden in the woods and idk about you but I have other things to do irl so I can’t just play non-stop. You can stay hidden for a while but eventually just lose all your progress while you are offline. Real “fun” game there.

I tried PvP, both official and unofficial. Neither ended well, both left me bitterly depressed and somewhat angry as I was destroyed before I could even manage to really accomplish anything. The only way I can enjoy Ark is PvE, or solo world. And since the unofficial cluster I played on shut down due to loss of interest, I'm 100% solo.

The hardest part of this amazing game is staying alive when you've dc'd or the server crashed. Which happens daily. Oh yeah and not to punch your screen after you've lost 3 hours of gameplay due to a rollback.

welp last time i died in this game was 1 month ago (also the same time i didn't play it) and i died to a fcking eel thanks to my supiror 15 fps and a view range set to low i though oh nice pearls and then i saw a little lightining under water the message you got tranqed by a what ever his name is and was how he deals like 1 dmg per hit to me 3 mins later i drowned

my laptop barely gets 20fps running on Lowest settings. This game is heavily unoptomized im suprised it got on console in general. However i am building a new pc so hopefully it runs much smoother.

Dont forget the sonic style rubberband that your stuck with when trying to play split screen, really makes trying to traverse the world solo while someones building, impossible

I agree, but you can change tether distance.. Apparently by clicking the number you can set it higher than the slider allows you to.. use 100 for The Island

My partner and I are playing spletscreen offline. Over 500 hours and STILL haven't stepped foot in a cave. This late game content looks tight! I will take no shortcuts, this game is a true survival horror experience.

yeah, Ark is only fun for the people that haven't had months of grinding wiped out while they sleep. Or the people that aren't in a server where alpha tribes have covered all the caves and metal spawns. Give people freedom and they'll use it to make others miserable, then they bitch and moan when their server dies or when they get freedoms taken away

yes. You can do absolutely everything in single player that you can in multiplayer... technically... some things are much more difficult, but with a gathering and taming multiplier to suit your individual needs, it's significantly less grindy and nearly just as much fun. Depends what you play the game for really. It's my second most played game of all time, and i mostly just run around collecting dinosaurs and then make them fight the wild dinosaurs... rinse and repeat... over 1000 hours... ooh, and exploration, of course.

ark was a fun game but its beyond broken with everyone cheating and it is life consuming with dinos taking hours to tame which means you stand next to them basically doing nothing but protecting them from random players and dinos

I don't really see why you are all trashtalking about multiplayer, if you hate playing on server where everyone cheats just play singleplayer. And the ark was much much worse in early access. The fps drops, the 20 minutes long loading times and more. Now it is actually much better with much better graphics and more things to do. And if you bough it in early access you got for like 15 E so.

I found fighting those fish easy, simply carry a dodo with you...then throw it on water and the fish attack it first, works with dinos too.

2:00 to 2:11 is me when I see a purple tail in Subnautica when I'm tryna go to the island and I start swimming down in my seamoth but I see no sea floor and I drive to the purple light but then realise I'm on the edge of the map and it's a full adult ghost leviathan and it takes half my health off of my seamoth and I try shocking it with my shock defense system but it does nothing and it starts swimming towards me and destroys the rest of the health on my vehicle destroying it and then realizing that I didn't save and as I cry that night I question why I'm alive
