Episode 4 the boys are headed back to Arkansas to duck hunt flooded cypress. The journey is never smooth, on the way in our gps took us 30-45 minutes out of the way to the wrong entrance. When we finally got the boat in the water, pressure began to apply now that we were an hour or so behind but on the plus side - there was water! You will never win the race against time trying to navigate to your spot when hunting flooded timber or cypress. It usually goes like this… stuck, unstuck, boom hit a stump. We ended up having to walk the boat a bit and as the sun started to rise we finally hit a clear patch. When we were unloading our stuff we heard someone off in the distance calling and Michael turned around and said “we ain’t gonna kill any if someone is calling like that”... The trip was fun, full of surprises, hole was beautiful, nice chilly 28 degree morning, ducks were flying, met some good people, and gave out a few Back Down South hats.
