Best operators, top pick for IS4 Sniper- Typhon only (snipers are weak here) Guard- Mlynar and Gavialter Specialist- Texalter and Yalter Vanguard- Ines, Myrtle Caster- Eyja, Lin, GG and Passenger Medic- Reedalter, Warfarin, Eyjalter, Perfumer (she's cheap) Defenders- any defender that's not a 3 star Support- support is not good here but Gnosis and Skalter are still better than rest of the support units. Playing IS4 feels like playing CC Risk#18 every stages LOL! It's definitely harder than it's predecessors.

I don't know what it is, but IS4 feels a lot more difficult than IS3 and IS2. Some of those maps are cutthroat with the amount of enemies thrown at you in earlier stages before you can promote. It feels a lot more RNG-dependent in that you can't adapt as well if you get the wrong vouchers. I felt like in previous iterations, I had at least one solid 4-6 Star character in all roles, but now I feel like the characters I invested in are just too weak.

Not to mention not perfecting a stage gets you another collapse level. You're basically guaranteed to get a debuff/enemy buff every floor. The first two floors don't give you enough time or resources to get a foothold anywhere unless you're super lucky on rng.

It's easier and much less rng dependent. U get lot more hope,foldertals can make a hard stage a cakewalk,lot more ops are viable,there's no run ending debuffs,bosky passages are a goat.

Gavial would work really well as a starter, she just falls off in later floors

I was about to ask if Cuora was viable because I have neither Hoshi and Nian but you did answered already lmao. But another question would you recommand to S3M3 eyja alter first or to build Lin for IS4?

Eyja alter s3 can work with just slv7, so perhaps Lin first

I don't have Qiubai or Nian, but sounds like Ines & Hoshiguma should cover that. Should I get Typhon S2M3 (Mines currently M1)? I've already got S3M3. My Lin, Ceobe & Carnelian don't have masteries, will have to see if Eyja/GG is fine. May have to build up one of them. Don't have Reed medic but should be fine. Might get her as support unit

My top pick (currently on difficulty 7): Vanguard-guard path - Gavalter/ExFoederer, ansel and orchid for starter. - Ines, Myrtle, or Texas are priority vanguard, - Mlynar is a must for consistent run (later Degenbreacher is probably good alternative for Mlynar), other guard pick are Silverash, Lappland, and Mountain. Cutter is a good pick for saving hope - For caster Lin, Mostima (a must for ending 2), and Eyja. - For sniper Blue Poison is enough. Kroos and May for saving hope - For defender Hoshiguma are high priority. Cardigan, Gummy, and Cuora for saving hope - Warfarin, Nightingale (a must for ending 3), and Eyjalter are probably my only pick for medic. - Supporter are low priority pick but if the game spam me with supporter ticket Gnosis, Suzuran, or Shamare are good pick. - Texalter/Yatoalter is a must for panic button and just generally powerful specialist, way too lazy to use pusher/puller but if i have to probably Gladia and Weedy. Manticore are surprisingly good especially with level 1 Module and S1M3 (i prefer Manticore than Ethan). Another good pick are Spalter and Lee Definitely harder than IS#2

Mine aren't at 90 or with masteries but I have most of these ops at or close to E2. Thanks for the guide, I haven't done IS before but I want Typhon's skin so I'm doing research.

I wonder if it's easy to quickly rush the shop investment in is4. I just played through is3 normally, but never got much past 200 invested, and i cleared all the rewards in is3 now, and i'm ready to move to is4 at this point. This time around I really wanna try and get the investment to max

Good video. I partially disagree that Elysium shouldn’t be prioritized because s2 invis reveal is useful if you don’t have the hope for silverash or ines

true, except ines always comes first, if you have the hope for elysium but not ines, you'd still save for ines anyway

@@frauflaw100edibleorganicco9 The whole right side of enhanced Cresson (ED3 boss) are all invis enemies and can 1-2 shot your ops. Are you playing d15 for IS? Even IS3 had some pretty annoying invis enemies.

Group 1 i use literally only 3 of them either cause the rest arent built or i refuse to use. And 6 from group 2

I'm currently on Nature 6, here's my pick (based on what I have): Vanguard: Myrtle/Fang/Bagpipe (If you get Collectible for Charger she become GODLIKE) Guard: Thorn, Mountain, Lappland (she actually really good here), Estelle, Popukar (for starter) Defender: I don't really play defender here, because it feels useless LOL Sniper: TYPHON IS OWNING IS 4 Caster: Eyja (I only use 1 caster), and dont use high DP caster Medic: Reedalt is a MUST, Eyjaalt for bigger area heal, ptilopsis (for typhon sp battery) Supporter: I don't really use supporter here, not convenience Specialist: Yatoalt for all your problem

after couple of run of IS4 1 note i always remember which always screw my run is always prepare for annoying drone stage. dont care which one operator, just need atleast 1 or 2 to handle that cheap drone. they are just like cheap damage, but in IS4 i realise cheap 1 hp damage can basically screw whole run (i talk this because when i try to get wave 10 trim medal)

my biggest problem right now at low cross-culture upgrade levels is the new aerial drones. like i'd always end up leaking them because i'd always have no snipers because people say snipers suck in this mode so i skip high rarity ones. early game op hunting is kinda hard without any of the operator-type squads unlocked

If you must, you can try Ash, her stun kinda works if you learn the timing to use her skill, but it will take some practice

I would say just go for Mlynar, Ines is used in future CC, but you can always just borrow her, and in IS you'd want Mlynar more than Ines

With careful maneuvering and avoiding rng as much as possible, I managed to clear is4 at ascension 15 with only: e2: yato/texas alter, myrtle, reed alter, kal e1: lin (her shield saved me from sami boss 2nd phase), gavalter, fang, kroos, and the rest are recruits I only used all my red foldartals during last boss and i didn't even have the att speed one, only -30% redeploy time and +50% hp which rly helped reed alter to not get ohko'd with icicle attack Spinach pack, wrath of the siracusans, and that artifact where specialists get 120 AS when there are no allies within 4 adjacent tiles megabuffed my fast redeploys.

-30 % redeploy seems to take a huge role in your clear with how you have both texas/yalter

My recommendation is Kal'tsit, more than any other Operator. Second would be Mountain. Ines is nice to have but she struggles more than Mountain and Kal'tsit.

There are people trying to gaslight me by saying this is nowhere near as hard as is3 and my brain is rotting because I can't understand these people. I'm suffering so much worse at base level than I ever did with is3. I didn't even USE texas right away because I figured it'd be nice to have a small challenge, while in is4 i'm desperately searching for a stable starter team because this mode drives me INSANE. the maps with the speedy MH enemies and the charging dudes, the maps with the rhine lab tanky bastards, I haven't even gotten past the first few nodes of the second floor. I'm doing awful and i'm having so little fun that my brain is starting to shut down. I played is3 daily for months and would play it even if I didn't have rewards to get xD. I feel miserable right now.
