you are seriously wrong about apple beeing a leader, their only advantage is that they dont support many software or hardware, for example, macs only uses intel CPUs and Amd GPUs, windows uses both intel and AMD CPUs and nvidia/AMD GPUs, same goes with android that runs on millions of different chips, imagine android or windows supporting only one chip, its going to be amazing.

@@KevinShroff yes those points makes 100% sense, apple only foccused on usind AMD GPUs for example and they could achieve amazing performances with final cut pro, premiere pro runs on both macos and windows, and its not an easy task to update and make it more efficient and optimised with bothe amd/intel cpus and nvidia/amd gpus, tell what you want but its the truth

@@alanmay7929 That's the case with third party applications with ANY change in architecture on a platform. If you had it your way, we would still be on PowerPC with Macs. Things change and this is why stuff like Rosetta 2 is implemented - how well this works is to be seen in the future but I fundamentally disagree with your opinion, and if the past is any indicator of the future Apple has an excellent track record of getting developers to support their endeavors.

Watching this video I just realized something. What about Xwindow os 11 that can be exported to the iPad? Like Apple silicon in house farms.

I have an Asus VT229H Touchscreen that I have used with Touchbase driver on MacOS for a couple years. But in BigSur there is no need for the extra touchbase drivers. It seems they iPads touch drivers are implemented in BigSur. I am using a 2014 i5 Mac Mini to test the beta and my guess is the touch drivers are running under rosetta because their is a bit of latency. ARM SOCs have a touch hardware accelerator in the design as part of the instruction set. I would venture to say we won't see a touch mac the first year of Apple Silicon but it is very likely we see it in late 2021 early 2022 when second generation Apple Silicon hits the market.

I don't think so. Using a touch screen on a laptop is uncomfortable + the hinge of the screen must be stronger, which will make it impossible to open with one hand.

stop talking nonsense mate, the ipad pro with the "magic keyboard" is just like a laptop with touchscreen, plus a touchscreen on a laptop is just for more precise gestures like on tablets, you point directly on what you want instead of moving the mouse, plus the touchscreen option makes it way more multitasking ich

On larger laptops yes, I agree with you it can be uncomfortable, but on devices

@@KevinShroff touch display laptops arent made to be used with touch all the time, that stupid, the touch just makes accssing to some features way faster instead of moving the cursor here and there
