Installed the ARM Motorsports Downpipes and Intake on my 2013 N63 550I Msport. NO CEL and operates at 10 degrees above ambient.

Damn. Finally some reassurance and actual good footage on the ARM intakes. Everyone on the forums swears by the n63intake and shun these intakes and anything else. Seems legit to me!

They're Mad because arm is out here selling performance upgrades for what they should cost and not charging a ridiculous amount, they have a fbo kit for gti/golf r that's like 600 bucks with everything intake charge pipes downpipe fmic. Then you've got companies charging 600 for an oil cooler 800 for a downpipe with a cat 900 for intercoolers.. you could get a 550i and go fbo with arm for like 1k then go tune the motor and Trans for another 1k. I've saw in the past the xdrive cars can be a bit finicky but I'm sure theirs more support now.

Thinking about pulling the trigger on a 2014 wich has the upgraded n63tu probably gonna go full arm with it since this car doesn't have the aftermarket support arms doing things at affordable prices. They have a fbo stage 2 kit for mqb gti/7r cars for like kibbles compared to what other people charge

Exhaust is straight pipes with xpipe.

I have a jb4 stage 1 plus a m5 comp package exhaust and titanium oil valve. Thinking of doing the downpipes and 90c thermostat. Will downpipes improve performance dramatically? I need to beat an m4

Absolutely, but I would step it up on the tune side. Stage 2 would be a better recipe for gapplesauce.

Durwin V3GA i finally got the downpipes installed and sound amazing! However, I get very bad exhaust smell inside my car and I feel like it smokes too much. Is this normal? Maybe it’s running rich? If so will a stage 2 help or do I need a personalized tune?

Was this the slip on downpipes or the 2 bolt flange version? Also did you tune?

There are no secondary cats on the F10 550i, only resonators.

Bro its nothing you cant get used to because of the power gains and the sound. If i had to do it all over, i would have put the down pipes on the day i pulled it off the lot. lol

JB4+BCM and Fuel wiring. Exhaust is straight pipes with xpipe. I Run E85 and 93 octane mix.
