@@supreme3376 China makes 80% all the microchips in US military equipment and all with kill switches. First 2 flights sent after that Balloon had electronics failures as they came into range. The 2 finally sent took over a week to strip out the electronic and rebuilt to close to range. My guess is they borrowed some components from Israel. They buy US aircraft but first thing they do is replace the electronics. The F35I is the Israel only version and is nearly 25% better in test in several areas. They do to our jets, what we did to the Harrier in the late 60's and 70's. Tweek it out and make it better. BTW we are buying back close to a hundred Harriers now because the Boeing jets are behind delivery and with less than a third ready for use when delivered. A third are reported with machine filings found in the fuel tanks that can cause clogs or worse engine failure in flight. This was all in a recent Congressional Hearing. China has a standing army greater than our total population and the ability to disable the majority of our military hardware. War with China will be a gorilla style war after the US military is wiped out with the kill codes on the equipment.

Weird fact: Steve Buscemi- the awesome actor who played Rockhound- was attacked at random the other day while walking down the street. He is ok, someone just punched him at random as he walked down the street in New York. Not only is he an amazing actor thats been in some incredible films, he was also a firefighter in NYC and lent a hand at ground zero shortly after the attack on 9/11.

"AJ, I got just five words for you: Damn glad to see you boy!" "That's six words." Fun Fact: The film opened on Liv Tyler's twenty-first birthday. Casting Notes Fact: First major starring role for Michael Clarke Duncan, prior to this film he had done very small roles in TV and in film. Not Excessive Fact: After Rockhound (Steve Buscemi) gets space dementia, the shuttle crew wraps him in duct tape, which is, in fact, NASA protocol for immobilizing a crazed crew member. Free NASA Training Fact: NASA shows this film during their management training program. New managers are given the task of trying to spot as many errors as possible. At least 168 have been found. He's Not Wrong Fact: Rockhound's (Steve Buscemi) line about sitting on a million pounds of fuel in a rocket built by the lowest bidder is a variation of an actual radio transmission by Mercury astronaut Alan Shepard, just prior to lift-off.

This was just a pure big fun movie to see at the theater. "Could that really happen?" The things I know about... The things I know are about to happen, but it would just stir up debate in chat. I love this movie and have since it came out! I definitely agree with the folks who suggest you watch Deep Impact. The late 90s were so interesting, because in '97 we had two volcano-related disaster movies (Volcano and Dante's Peak) and then in '98 two space disaster movies (Armageddon and Deep Impact). It's pretty well accepted that both Volcano and Armageddon were the "popcorn" films and Dante's Peak and Deep Impact were the serious films. All worth watching!

Armageddon had its competition that year with Deep Impact, another asteroid movie, as did Volcano in its year with Dante's Peak in volcano movies, and as Saving Private Ryan competed in '98 with The Thin Red Line in a movie about the Second World War.

I like them both but Deep Impact is the better story.

I liked this movie quite a bit. I didn't see Deep Impact, but I've watched this one a few times.

Definitely watch Deep Impact, it’s also very good. Similar premise but a very different vibe. Great reaction!

WOW🤩IDK what's the Bigger Surprise: that Y'all watched this one and I had No Idea, or that David had never even seen it before!🤨IDK how Toni's gonna feel about the Ending💔but My Folks & I have always LOVED this Movie!👍It's easily one of the BEST Movies EVER for Michael Bay, Bruce Willis, Liv Tyler🥰and everybody else too...

I remember Deep Impact being released around this time. In answer to your question, I always thought Deep Impact was the better movie. It just seems to be better-balanced rather than an all-out thrill ride. Both are watchable though.
