📍 Armenia’s cabinet proposed doubling taxes on small businesses in the country, saying the move is needed to boost transparency and simplify the tax administration system.
📍 It remains unclear when Armenia’s Central Bank will allow the London-based financial giant HSBC to sell off its local subsidiary, leaving the country with no Western banks.
📍 Negotiations over a major expansion plan continue between Armenia’s government and Corporación América Airports, the company that owns the country’s main airport.

Go ahead and make doing business for small businesses even more difficult. Small businesses are the backbone of employment of developed economies but that has apparent not been learned in Yerevan yet. The control freak attitude of some of the government departments will definitely not promote investment into small businesses. The ease of opening a company must be followed with ease of operations. Many who run government of Armenia have not yet understood that they are supposed to serve the people and foster the development of the country.

If they care about fairness, instead of raising the turnover tax, they need to lower the main sales tax. They are making the gap between ultra rich and ultra poor even bigger and shrinking the middle class. This tax increase will contribute even more to the mass migration

A very stupid move by the inept and weak pashinyan - just resign and let a true democratic opposition run the country (none of those corrupt traitourus serjik or kocharyan - they deserve to be in prison) .
