@@philipschaffer9414 Most Jews who lived in the Middle East went to Israel which isn’t ethnic cleansing, rather because they get more opportunities living in Israel. Jews however suffered way more under Christian rule ie Europe

It sounds like the Armenian Church needed money to sell a 99 year lease to the property to build a hotel. Apparently, 2,000 Armenians live in the Armenian quarter, so where will they and the shop owners go? Anyway, it should never have been leased for a hotel to be built in the Armenian quarter or any other part of the old city. Scripture is clear with the intentions for the old city and it isn't for building hotels for property developers. In fact, there shouldn't be any shops in any part of the old city either. Armenians, read the scripture, know the truth.

If US Armenians helped with money to the Jarusalem Armenians, if the Armenian tenants of the Patriarchy-owned housing paid their rents rather than hiding behind the intregate Israeli laws, this would not happen. But blaming one guy is very convenient, ratner than looking into root causes...

The Armenian priest sold a 99 year old lease to an Australian-Israeli, Danny Rothman, his hotel company, Xana began in UAE, and his hotelier partners in the project are Emirati. He registered his company in Israel in 2021. The Times of Israel have written an article about this situation, and they don't give Rothman a good review, he looks like a shady character with connections in Cyprus too. Apart from that building a hotel in the old city of Jerusalem doesn't align with scripture. So this plan for this hotel should not go ahead.

@@eliakimjosephsophia4542 Seems so weird, almost absurd. Why would anyone even think of building such a massive hotel in the old city? There seems to be a lot of shady dealing. Is the municipality/the government of Israel involved in this? A lot of questions

Its doesn't look like they are, but I think it was mentioned somewhere that the leaseholders would have to obtain planning permission. In Israel you can't build anything anywhere without excavations first. It is ridiculous to even contemplate putting a modern structure in the old city. The beauty of it is that it is an ancient historical city. @@karlheven8328

Why dont you do something about it ? All of Armenians should call that sob patriarch and demand an explanation , where is the money from the sale? It dosnt belong to the Patriarch , it belongs to Armenians

Well, the Armenian who was responsible was defrocked. What can Armenians of Armenia do? They should contact American politicians. Israel has no shame. The Armenians had the first holocaust of the 20th century, and they gave weapons to the Azerbaijanis who ethnic cleansed Armenians. Israel needs a reckoning from the world. Enough is enough.

Because they are Armenian priests, and they didn't agree with this sale nor does the congregation, so it's an improper sale. This is to make East Jerusalem as Jewish as possible at the expense of the Christians.

The only period of time all etnicities lived in peace and narmony in Jarusalem and other lands was under Ottoman Turkish rule. Then came the English, French and above all the Russian imperialists and everybody turned on each other.
