Many of us fell for it. I'm in the UK, where evangelical Christianity is less intense and full-on than in America. Less bound up in politics. But nonetheless I was definitely taught I should be broadly pro-Israel, and Palestinians were barely mentioned at all. I think many of us are waking up now. I actually think that for me Israel and Jewish people became a bit of an idol. I was so petrified that God would punish me if I questioned things that I got very confused. Of course I still love Jewish people, but also Palestinians and everyone. I can see with my own eyes that the behaviour of the Israeli government doesn't remotely line up with the teachings of Christ.
