Glad you walked away. The week of Thanksgiving I totalled my '13 Tacoma on a frozen bridge. The only body panel that was good was the gas cap lid. After all of the insurance company stuff and buying it back from same I finally got all of the body work done. Then came the pollen. Then came more cold and nasty weather. Since all of that has cleared up I'm finally going to paint it tomorrow and will be doing it in Raptor Liner. You might ought to check it out. It will cover amateur body work well too thank goodness.

Wow! This blows! Makes me appreciate my dash cam even more. Glad you're ok, that was quite a shot. 2 things. 1) Black Tacos rule! My first 2 were black. My current 3rd gen is gray metallic which is cool, but it isn't black. 2) Yes, post the unwrapping. Should be interesting. Again, glad you're ok and still posting

Sorry to see that man. My 2011 was rear ended a while back and it bent the frame, totalling it. But that paid for my current 2015 TRD Pro. Everyone needs a dash cam too! I'd like to see a reveal of the black paint.

i got rear ended in my lifted tundra my hitch went through the ladies radiator and engine block the day before i got married totaled her car 4k damage to my truck keep the orange wrap im a new sub and brand new 2nd gen taco owner i subbed cause orange is my favorite color and i love your truck and awesome videos

I feel your pain on the whole insurance and waiting on parts. I had my 3rd gen smash into on the front passenger side back on Jan 24, and I'm finally getting my truck this afternoon how I missed it so much!! I can't wait to get my baby back. Now I'm going to be driving around like a paranoid granny 😂😂

I am glad you were not injured, but being without your Tacoma for that period of time is not easy. In the early part of 1/23, I had an accident in which the right rear quarter panel of my Tacoma was dented. Due to the Tacoma construction, a new panel could have basically just been bolted on and painted, however it took a month and half for them to get the part from Toyota. At this point, it seems ridiculous that their supply chain is still this far behind. I now realize I probably could have continued to drive my Tacoma while the body shop was waiting for the new panel.

Glad you're ok, sorry to see you Taco get hit.😢 Been seeing a lot of Tacos getting totaled this year due to the fault of other driver's involved. Would definitely like to see an unwrapping. Hopefully you'll be able to bring your Taco back to its former glory.

Damn! Man that BS sucks. Nowadays some drivers need re-learn how to drive on the road in a SAFTY manner. Like 2 months ago, I met the same driver. The driver wants to break the stop sign making a left turn. I was smashing on my brake to avoid shit happens. Really hate those who don’t know how to drive safely. Hopefully ur taco will come back soon.

Currently sitting here, upset as hell, because I just ruined 100$ worth of parts from my Tacoma. I tried to dye some interior bezels, and the plastic shrunk......I guess Rc parts don't handle the heat like truck parts. This cheered me up

DAng , sorry about your accident. Good nobody was hurt, sucks the Taco was banged up. Our Rav4 was damaged when we couldn't avoid running over a huge tow hitch that was bouncing around. Same issue as you, supply chain SUCKS! Not feeling so bad about waiting 5 weeks for parts now, hope it all worked out well. I will for sure drive my Tacoma (2n Gen) more carefully now. Onto your next video...

You really need to check out this raptor liner. I did mine last week and love it. Everyone is going crazy over it and have been asking me for help doing their trucks. I would give it serious consideration

jesus man, i was pissy about needing new o2 sensors in my 2011 tacoma yesterday. never mind that... glad you're ok mayne. hopefully things get worked out soon with the parts to fix the truck soon.

Noooooo! Man what a blow, sorry to see this happen but glad you are ok. You would think the bright orange would be a dead giveaway ..... this kind of thing is why I am reluctant to spend more money on mods for my truck. My last rig was a Sahara Wrangler, Hit a deer at 60mph nearly totaled, was rear ended by phone distracted driver and then T boned by a non licensed driver which totaled the Jeep.

I know your pain my truck was nearly totaled it in October and I finally just got it back. They put a whole brand new frame underneath my truck. My rock sliders saved my body though. My frame not so much so I have a brand new frame and brand new suspension.

Glad to hear you're okay and your taco didn't sustain too much damage. That sucks you'll have to remove all your vinyl, although it's a great excuse to change things up! I love the idea of a Tacomaholic branded wrap. Hopefully the Toyota parts come in sooner than expected and you get your Tacoma back soon.

First off , thanks for all your videos , I’ve done a lot of maintenance on my Tacoma which I probably would have never done it weren’t for your awesome videos,… glad your ok and I’m also glad you had the dash cam , .. I was in a situation where I got hit on my Harley from a jerk pulling a u-turn in front of me from the right side of the road turning to his left ( with his right blinker on ) , doing $6000 worth of damage to my bike ( if I had a girl on the back she would have lost her leg because the saddle bag exploded and the steel foot peg broke right off ),… he was extremely apologetic at the scene , admitting he was totally at fault, etc etc. …… and then I got a copy of his accident report a week later where he stated that he was just driving down the road and that I was driving like a maniac and was passing and cutting in front of him when my saddle bag caught the left front side of his bumper , unfortunately it was his word against mine ,… long story short , if I had it on video things would have been a lot better , first thing I did was go out and by a go pro and mounted it on my helmet ( hopefully I never need it )…. Did your insurance company ask to see the video , and if so , was it as helpful as I imagine ?

Sorry to hear about your situation, but glad you are recording your rides now to avoid any he said/she said stuff in the future. The other guy's insurance quickly accepted fault when they saw my dashcam footage, even after hearing their driver's BS story about what happened.

I work in accident reconstruction for insurance companies/ attorneys. Having this footage will save you from so much bs in court if you go that far. The left turn on solid green incident happens all the time, but it looks like this person wasn’t even in the turn lane and tried to just cut left. Just hope they don’t have a sob story for the jury.

Correct, they were in the straight lane and still turned through the intersection. The guy told the cops that he had the yellow arrow thinking that gave him the right of way ... and the cops told him that means yield.

It is good to know that the dash cam needs to be wired into a battery backup... It is on my list of things to do for both my truck, and my dad's car for exactly this reason. It is proof that you had right of way at the time of the accident. No "he said / she said"

I got hit in the same spot in my taco, before I had sliders. Busted my u bolts and tweaked the rear axle. Check for seepage from your pumpkin gasket. Glad you're all good.

My bro has been hitting the tren since he's been gone? Looking more jacked than his tacoma haha. My armor saved my tacoma too. Literally just got it back from the shop a few days ago. Last september some dude full-send reversed into me at a stoplight. Have a pretty beefy steel bumper that I custom welded and powder coated. Anyway, major +1 for adding armor to our rigs. Glad yours is (mostly) OK!

I had my 3rd gen Tacoma rear ended. The frame was okay although the whole bed needed to be replaced. The rear driver side and passenger side b-pillar close the the bed was bent and my rear windows received some damag, due to the bed shifting forward and smacking the cab. It took nearly a whole year to get my truck back because of Toyotas lack of available parts at the time.

I could see the light was green, but I would not have entered that intersection. The other driver was wrong for following the line going through a red light of course, but at first I wasn't paying attention to the green light; I was observing the traffic flow. The lights mean something, but they don't tell the full story of what's happening here in this dynamic intersection.

Same way this heifer hit my Taco….and turning from the wrong lane😔wish these idiots learn to read street signs…left,right,go,stop,yield,one way,wait,etc,etc…but when she wrongfully turned my front hit her vehicle…damage all on her passengers side,I braked & alarms were sounded from my Taco b4 impact, but still 2 late to avoid hitting…..my damage was only the hump design that stick out on the front bumper and a crack in the grill……dealer at repair shop wrote up a new grill & bumper….and a new sensor just in case…everything was repaired and now working great as if off the assembly lines brand new…….wish you well on getting yours back on the road

Almost looked like a wreck I had with my 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport. Other driver pulled out of a McD's right into my path, barely had time to hit the brakes. Ended up hitting the other car right behind driver side door. Did more damage to other car then was done to my TRD. My truck is orange ("inferno" is the actual paint color name). How can you not see an orange truck heading your way? Glad you're okay. I say go back to original black paint job and ditch the wrap.

Re wrap the entire truck if that is what it takes to make it match. The drive at fault or their insurance company need to make you whole again. Even if it is much more expensive to go that route, maybe they will learn there is a high price to pay for violating traffic laws.

Had a similar accident at night a few years ago, got hit on the front driver side by the left turner on green. Cops came in minutes and other driver (no driver's license, no insurance, no registration) began lying to the police that I ran a red light while speeding without headlights on. I waited a few minutes until his report was completed, then I downloaded footage from my dashcam. Police went back to him and performed a DUI test on him. Lol. Scary thing was damn police believed every single word he said. Smh. Btw, my damage came out to $8,700 but pocketed the good amount and finally installed the aftermarket front bumper. My 07 with 300K+ miles still runs great.

I'd love to see the unwrapping process. I also have a black Tacoma and I don't like how dirty it gets even 5 minutes after washing it. Thinking about wrapping it one day but I'm not sure how much of a pain it is to unwrap!

Get you a free wrap. Re - wrapping isn't a option because of the age of the wrap.

Absolutely bad road design, however it had nothing to do with this morons actions. Any road that requires two lanes in each direction should not have uncontrolled left turn lanes. Thank goodness for the dash cams. This video has finally prompted me to actively looking into procuring some. I especially appreciate you mentioning that they turned off with the accident, I will be correcting that deficiency.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Glad to see things could have gotten worse. It looked like the Volvo took a chance only to feel the brunt of his car totaled. As far as the orange wrap, well that is your signature color and truck. I am sure there are fewer individuals with an orange 2nd generation. Maybe it's time to switch it up? a change? bottom line, you're doing okay, and the taco will eventually resurrect from the dead. hahaha.
