Kept telling my friends this over and over. If they had a checkpoint once you get INTO the hallway, I’d be MUCH more willing to keep doing that aerial boss over and over. But it’s super discouraging to have to start from the beginning EVERY time.

Dude did you manage it with the Loghunt enemy AC Candleburn behind you at the very beginning? I struggled through it barely, finally beat it, adding a Loghunt enemy AC just makes it fucking brutally unfair for my current skill level, lol. I made it to the beach cavalry with 300AP left and both my pulse shields gone lol. I didn’t stand a chance and I’ve tried twice now

@@norwardradtke1361 I've completed this game 100% since leaving my original comment including achieving S rank on all missions I don't think you have to beat the loghunt tank enemy to achieve S rank and can just focus on the main mission first but mainly what it comes down to is just overpowering your enemies with superior firepower for me that's usually staggering them and then using the pile bunker with the Basho arms for that sweet extra melee damage

Force you to go tank? My light build mopped this mission no issues

Also because there's effectively 3 minibosses, including one which is a highly aerial pair attacking you simultaneously from all possible angles. So yeah, it's really only hard because you'll die a fuckton of times and have to do the entire thing over and over again, but other than that easy peasy amirite

Tank treads, double gatling guns, needle and songbird took two attempts. I hate using tank legs and the needle launcher but that's what you have to do sometimes to get through annoyingly difficult fights.

I'm having some mixed success with the Heavy Reversed Joints, 2 gattling, 1 song bird and 1 double missile launcher

Update: 2 song birds LMAO, with 2 song birds he goes down in a couple of hits, don't even bother to safe it for when he staggers, just go all out with both songbirds

​That's because From's typical strategy for creating "hard" bosses is for them to have huge HP pools and make them so big/mobile/have attacks so graphically busy/etc. that it's hard to see what's going on well enough to avoid attacks that hit for massive damage, so the best solution is high health and damage resistence.

​@@user-pm7sy5hb7myeah that's the only shitty thing about this armored core. The lighter builds don't carry enough firepower to take the boss down in a reasonable amount of time for how squishy they are, and these bosses are all extra armored up for the most part. I play the light builds for most of the missions, then just swap over to the tank build when there's a boss every single time just changing weapons depending on the boss's weaknesses. At least in the others all builds were more or less viable. You can still beat bosses with light builds, but I don't see the point in the extra effort and time.

My strat was laser rifle, dual pulse missiles on the back, and pulse sword with a light build. You have to keep him on the outside against the walls as much as possible to limit his dodge options, bonus because the AOE from pulse missiles will damage him. Dodge when he tries to kick you and sword him in the back. It's rough but very doable

About the only thing twin gatling/shotgun with twin Songbird/Songbird-Stun Needle won't work on is Michigan. You need double missiles on your shoulders for that. Did twin vertical plasma with twin shotguns and managed to bad them all without running dry on ammo.@@daniellainez6533

What bird?

Songbird double grenade cannon. One of the best shoulder weapons in the game, and unlocks very early on. Dumb-fire weapon, so it doesn't track like missiles do, but they'll do tons of damage to slower or staggered enemies.@@jackassaddict

Exactly this is so annoying I like my builds so much better than tank but they get dumpstered by bosses

​@@dreambiscuits, it's not a skill issue if there's a very narrow set of builds that can progress past the level without tremendously improbable RNG. There are plenty of veteran AC players struggling with this awful mission because it essentially forces you into a tank build.

Understandable. This is a regarded mission.

I beat guy first play through with only 32 armor left.....And didn't even know about the "log" until I looked it up....Now, no matter what I try/build, I can't get through, as the "ambush" AC eats at least 1 armor repair, and over half of your ammo to take down....Needs to have a check point right before entering the final room...

Dude you guys need to experiment more. Use the stun rod and its chain attack stuns the boss in one combo, switch to pile bunker and you do more than half his hp in damage if you have OS upgrades right. Then you can switch to stun and repeat lmao. I didnt even use a repair kit my first time AND I got the battle log lol.
