IBIS Defeated by using Jailbreak, the AC used on the mission "Escape", equipped with a Machine Gun, a Jammer and a Spread Bazooka, the main source of damage.
Didn't use anything as Expansion Unit (even though Assault Armor was Equipped) as I didn't remember if it had something for that specific mission.
Went for the safest strategy, avoiding everything until IBIS does the wanted attack to stagger and deal damage.
As for the damage there are 2 ways, one is to stagger right after shooting the Spread Bazooka, which is the safest but less damage, and anohter one where you almost stagger him after the Spread Bazooka shot and you stagger him through a Kick, allowing you to shoot a second Spread Bazooka and a second kick. More damage but riskier as he can decide to fly away if executed poorly (just like it happened on previous attempt, the first seconds of the video).
Little Trivia: Jailbreak gets a movement nerf during the mission "escape" and to tell you the values normal boost speed is 280ish and during the mission is 228...yeah that sucks. Also weighs 1000 point less, Reason? Beats me

you'll be suprised how many enemies cant actually deal with hyper aggression. Sea Spider becomes pathetic if you're constantly hounding it's underside and pummeling it from the air

@@noahyang9362Yeah, I know. I was always trying to chase it down and close the range so my projectiles didn't need to go as far and it just dodged everything and gave me an ass full of laser. Turns out I should've been keeping my distance and picking my moment the whole time instead of firing everything any time it seemed like there was a slim chance of a hit.

Did you know that Jailbreak during the mission "Escape" gets a nerf in terms of boost and QB Speed? If you build it with all the parts it uses (AB-J-137 KIKAKU as Booster ; FCS-G1/P01 as FCS and AG-J-098 JOSO as Generator) you achieve a Boost Speed of 297 and a QB Speed of 335, whereas in "Escape" Jailbreak has respectively 228 and 219. Also it weighs almost 1100 less during that particular mission. I don't know why

I was gonna ask what gen and boosters you used, because I tried to replicate the build too! I bet Fromsoft has hidden the boosters and gen in the game's files somewhere and they're not normally obtainable.

Also! Fun tip, at 4:49 you can straight up assault boost in and kick Ibis to interrupt the clap animation. This looked like a blast to do and I learned a lot about how to avoid Ibis' chip damage from this, which was my main issue doing this fight with the starter AC. I even used assault armor.

@@IntrusiveThot420There actually is an unnamed booster and generator within the params, and they're terrible in almost every stat compared to their modern counterparts. The Jailbreak generator is actually pretty interesting, because it has an Energy Firearm Spec of 0, meaning that if it was actually available for us assemble, energy weapons would be unusable on it.

Jailbreak is nothing compare to the Melander C3 AC and with just the starter weapons. I've been defeating many bosses with it, burned through all the arena, and 2v1 missions, but I can't record any sadly. Game kept crashing majority of the times when I'm running OBS. Sucks and unfortunately.

Well done! I'm sorta surprised by how powerful that spread bazooka is. There's an attack in phase 2 I literally never saw while playing myself. Super cool boss, but very hard to learn from my experience. I had a lot of trouble with seeing which attack it was doing in the second phase, partly because I didn't use hardlock properly.

You shouldn't be mate. What, you think he/she just picked up Jailbreak parts, slapped them together and did that on first try? This kind of amazing performance is only achieved trough rigorous practice - over and over and over and over again. If you put the work in you have nothing to be ashamed of no matter the result.

Exactly as they said, it is more a test of patience. It took me hours to pull it off despite already knowing how to avoid almost all attacks (had problems on some 2nd phase attacks ngl). One thing is for sure, you must be confident with the build you like. Never Give Up Raven!!

For me for example it was a process getting it S ranked. I found out that this is a battle of extremes - just as the boss is extremely fast and has extremely low AP so too should be (at least i think so) your approach - either very careful, keep your distance at all times and counter it only when you see it stop for a moment and go for a powerful attack (in this case of course you can forget S rank) OR go balls to the wall, pedal to the metal aggression where you shadow it's movements to the best of your abilities and stay as close as possible, that way the pincer attacks from it's drones usually converge behind you rather than on top of you. About my S rank run - was full on aggression (i think the most important part of the S rank here is speed) - the mini boss battle went really well - took less than 1k damage and was really hyped..........then Ibis proceeded to completely and utterly delete my face and reform it into something even my mother wouldn't love but i managed to stun and counter it every time it stopped. I finished the mission on less than 1k AP (no repairs left ofc) but got S rank regardless. Go figure :D

Man, I'm annoyed at myself because I still haven't beaten this boss without resorting to double shotgun cheese builds, and you were able to do it with this garbage AC. The thing is, looking at the way you play I probably could have done something similar using my main build. I'm going to go give this fight another shot now.

Holy shit that's impressive. I just came out of a 5 hour struggle against this fuck, and while I got pretty competent at getting through phase 1 with all reps left, I never got the hang of the new moves in phase 2. Amazing work, and honestly excellent reference to use since I gotta redo that mission cause I missed the weapon box at the start 😢

If your still stuck on phase 2 when it turns to light near the end is really hard to dodge so use high damage i did dual gats and dual shoulder grenade launcher with a fast tank

Suggestion, OS drop parts and drop the jammer. Then use punches along side your weapons. It's still technically jailbreak, because you need to manually drop the jammer everytime.

exact attempt count idk, as for time waste something like 2-3 hours. While I already knew how to avoid almost all attacks I had to learn how to deal damage and the attacks that I was still struggling with

I would recommend trashing the left hand weapon since you aren't using it, you'd save a pretty small amount of weight yes, but hey, it's better than just keeping it yet not using it.

I defeated the 1st phase with just the Melander C3 AC and with just the stock starter weapons. Which I believe it's way harder than the jailbreak. I thought it was over, but got wrecked by the 2nd phase lol Now that I know, I haven't tried to reattempt it yet. I know I could do it though.

@@LeosKlein did it with the preorder bonus, no right shoulder, he ran out of ammo, so I upgraded his weapons, because I did not just want to do a punching only run, made it to the allmind ending, but the starter ac might be harder... I'll try it
