They schedule the games out years early, but your point is valid. LSU is perpetually in the top 25. Army gets to 24 or 25 every quarter of a century. It's mainly about visibility and TV time (and the $5M if accurate).

Come on, ESPN, you're better than this. "Full highlights" is more than just the big plays. You have to tell the story. Multiple times, this replay jumps from a 1st-down play, to the other team having the ball. Very confusing to follow the game. Save time by removing all the replays; we're streaming, and can easily back the video up, if we want to see a play again.

So true. It’s been a shoot out every game. Either way, big thanks to Daniels, because he and coach Kelly plugged the dam that could have been LSU football, it’s not flashy, it’s not perfect but it’s here. And Jayden is peaking at the perfect time.

Air Force is certainly better this year and there have been years Army is better. What noise? Academies should be hyper competitive with each other. If you're making a comparison between Army and Air Force as military branches, there is no comparison because they have very different missions. Air Force is a technical branch and Army is a leadership branch. You're not called the "chair force" for no reason.

we all know LSU defense is abysmal. But the last two weeks they have looked way better, and it doesn't matter the competition. They were horrible against everyone, but the last two weeks they have stepped up and even the second half of the Missouri game only led up two touchdowns. I feel a bit better going into the week and then headed to Tuscaloosa.

Okay it was Army! but Daniels is one of the best QBs in LSU history already and college today! He should be a Heisman candidate if season continues! LSU started off with Fl St with a new D and it took time to jell but they seem to fix most problems and with the O just destroying teams they should be in top 10 if they win rest of games! Nobody in top 10 has a tough schedule or played anybody yet! Some teams ranked ahead of LSU are clearly not as good! It's all politics! Look at USC being ranked so high like so many teams before the season started! No rankings or polls should come out until mid season and schedule should be considered when ranking! I laughed when USC lost and over rated Caleb sitting there pouting like a baby! Daniels was up off the bench jumping up and down for other players who don't play much! That is a true leader and QB who will go far in the NFL!

That is ridiculous statement, ask Houston in their bowl game with them Army scored 70 points. In the past Army had Okla, MI, and Tenn on the ropes check their bowl games opponents they have been tough to beat.

Depends on the year. Every once and awhile, Army will get 10+ wins. It's rare, but it happens. 1996 - 10-2 (my senior year); 2017 - 10-3; 2018 - 11-2. Army has finished in the rankings twice since 1960; LSU has 80+% of those years. Clearly there is a disparity.

Army scores 70 on Houston, twice beat Wake Forest scoring avg of 63. BTW for all the LSU fans your great QB Daniels at ASU loss in the Las Vegas hardly power 6 bowl. To disparage Army football 3 time National Champion and three Heisman winners and all time their 3 years unbeaten untied teams has always been in top as greatest ever.

It's a shame that all of the military academies just don't get better players, but then again kids aren't drawn to a life in the military especially the commitment of at least 8 years or so.

It's not just that, but they also have strict size requirements for students/players in the academy. There isn't much use for a 350lb person in the infantry. So even if Army was able to get better players, they would still be severely undersized against most D1 programs.

Georgia won the title 65-7 last year how come nobody ask why Texas Tech even plays football they were at full strength. Army had several key payers out including two QB's . The kid that played only had 2 qtrs. of football experience.

Nah I got Alabama. LSU if a good team but Alabama will be the better team and the better coached team. Bama defense is a lot better than LSU defense and that’s what it’s going to come down to. Mississippi put up 55 and the w on LSU. Mississippi put up 10 and Lost to bama. That should let u know everything u need to know. I got bama beating LSU 27-17
