Notre griot le plus digne qu'il soit tu es parfait dans ton rôle qui n'a jamais oublié le mandé et qui continue à chercher à louer notamment le roi soundiiata qui n'a jamais exister dans le monde entier cet avait toujours servi son peuple l'empire mandingue et dieu le tout puissant avait dejas prévu qu'il soit roi car il savait très bien que il sera aussi sage qu'il avait prétendue qu'il allait devenir c'est mon ancêtre ont ne l'oubliera jamais merci infiniment les griots du mandé qui n'arrêtent jamais de parlé de ce roi nuit et jour merci en les chers griots

I was there, a 9 years old boy hearing these magnificent tunes that I will never forget… Fun fact : Toumani was so cold in the cathedral he asked for gloves :)

Not religious myself but I think I can feel something like what you're feeling too. Music like this, performed passionately, taps into something within all of us that transcends our physical being, it is quite beautiful.
