Learn how to use the subjunctive mood in English. This is an advanced grammar topic, but I've divided this lesson up into 6 simple steps for you:
1. verb forms
2. verbs
3. adjectives
4. the 2nd Conditional
5. wish
6. set phrases
The subjunctive is a formal structure which you'll mainly see in written English, but you can of course use the subjunctive in spoken English.

Hi Arnel, thank you for this awesome video. To make your videos much more practical for students, I suggest that you also use some example sentences that can be readily used in exams such as IELTS or TOEFL. Maybe you can do another video on subjunctive mood, showing how it can be incorporated in the writing section of exams such as IELTS. Please do this; it is a game changer for your videos!

You're the best!! I had noticed that "be" always appeared this way after the word "that" but I didn't know why. So I'd been trying to find the grammar by searching for the parameters "that + noun/pronoun + verb", "bare infinitive", "verb/bare infinitive after the word 'that' ", and all possible combinations with them 🥵 but nothing was coming up. I finally found the explanation in the parts 1 to 3 of the pyramid :) Thank you!!! I scored 10

Thank you Felix! That's a good question. Yes, modal verbs can be in the subjunctive mood because they often describe our needs/desires/hypothetical situations. Some people use "should" instead of the set subjunctive structure: It is important that he should study for the exam. But, in the resources that I've seen modal verbs are often taught without being referred to as the subjunctive. I hope this helps! :)
