It's nice to see mom fixing Thanksgiving dinner. For many years my mom did the same. The family looked forward to it, but most of all my mother looked forward to it, she loved doing it for us. Even at the end, almost blind, she insisted cooking Thanksgiving dinner. My mom has been gone now for 11 years and oh how I miss her. Love your mom, count your blessings and hold her tight for as long as you can. Thank you for the video, it brought back wonderful memories.

Mama Tex prepares her turkey like I do, but I put stuffing in mine and now cook it in the bag to keep it moist. I've cooked turkey in every way except in the ground, but Traditional is my favorite. I should’ve watched this video BEFORE Thanksgiving! The turkey I prepared was pasty white, even though I slathered it with butter (the outside only because I forgot about under the skin). A few hours later, I was sick with food poisoning! This was my first try at preparing a turkey. I might try your version soon. Love your mom!

When I had to cook the Turkey once; Before I put in oven, I injected Beer/Butter melted and mixed together. I knew an EL Salvadorian friend of mine did not eat stuffing. So I told him to Inject the breast meat all over, put salt all over his hand, stick it inside the bird and move his hand around i8nside it, then put 1 stick of butter inside, and all the different vegetables he wanted inside. Close it up and put in oven Cook for 2 hours, then take out, inject the breast all over again. Cook for an additional hour, take tinfoil off and let the outside brown, then it would be ready and eat. He said it turned out great, and very juicy.
