In MA misdemeanors carry up to a maximum sentence of 2.5 years in house of correction but the same applies in MA very few go to jail on a first offense - disclaimer I am not a lawyer

I was charged over 20 years ago for resisting arrest. It is considered on the case as a misdemeanor. I did my paperwork to have it expunged. It has been denied and I have to go to court now. I’ve done all they asked me to do back then. They tried to put 5 charges on me when it happened and this was the only one that they made work. I have not been in trouble since then. What should I do?

i got arrested for retail theft and am interested in a diversion program. idk how to get the right lawyer and dont want my family to find out. do you think i can just pay a fee

Hi Mr. Alcock, I have a question... I live in Ohio, and I just got arrested a few days ago and was charged with 3 misdemeanors. Resisting arrest, obstructing official business, and disorderly conduct intoxication. The judge released me the next day on a personal bond and i have to go back to court on the 16th. I haven't had a case since 2014 and now this!! 🤦🏽 In your honest opinion what do you think there gonna do with me? I really appreciate if you could give me some insight on this. They dismissed the resisting arrest and obstruction, but instead charged me with disorderly conduct "persisting" and gave me probation with 2 years good behavior and a 300 dollar fine.

Can you actually?i just turned 18 y/o charged with concealing in means of transport which is a class 3 misdemeanor.The handg*n was registered to my friend and once they checked it it came back clean and everything,Do you think i will get jail time or could i just pay the fee? I live in AZ.
