Hello dear channel visitors.
With this short video from the ARRL International CW Contest I would like to show you that the communication in telegraphy still exists and is still used by HAM-Radio (Amateur-Radio) operators and by the military as a form of communication. Learn Morse code and let's keep this communications way alive.
I really enjoy communicating by telegraphy.
Someone asked me how quickly a Morse code is transferred via radio. All electromagnetic radiation -- from radio waves to x-rays -- travel at the speed of light. In empty space this speed is approximately 300,000 kilometers per second!
There are rules to help people distinguish dots from dashes in Morse code. The length of a dot is 1 time unit. A dash is 3 time units.
