Not bad #'s for the big black bus . RC ing on bike I do that too, Park 6 blks away & my vehicle go in a Dog carrier hanging off handlebars . Just like the 'Pede , these rigs get squirrely past 50 unless mods are done, tires are changed ......

Interesting results since it didn't go higher as predicted. Reviewing my Senton 3S BLX results I also ran it with 26/55 pinion/spur and it only got 40 on 2S when it should have gotten 52mph. It was well used and I ended up replacing all the bearings (drive and diffs) as they were all shot. At the same time I changed the gearing to 18/55 and it now gets 36mph on 2S which is exactly as calculated and 57mph on 3S which is a little higher then the calculated 54. I figure that it would as tires start ballooning in that range.

I really didn’t think it would go any faster than it did. I believe when I put in the gearing to my gear ratio calculator it said it was going to be about 40% taller and it went about 40% faster. Now the tires, of course ballooned more but the car is not as efficient/ there is more drag at the speed so honestly it went at least as fast as I was expecting but I wasn’t sure what it would do until I actually ran it of course.

@@lesdmess845 I used the online sodialed one that just does the gear ratio calculation. I need to look at some of their more involved apps and try them out!

@@BriansRCStuff I downloaded their free app and their estimate is 61mph which is a little higher then my calculations based on the same parameters. It's been interesting for me to check out the speedrun vids and figure out why it's way off . . . 🤔

@@lesdmess845 I will have to check it out. I am not sure why it estimated such a high speed. The gearing isn’t that much taller. It would need to be like 1.75 times taller to go that fast (not factoring in extra aero drag and lack of efficiency and such).🤷‍♂️

The problem with speed running these trucks is around 40 the tires start ballooning so they get squirly

Yeah, I’m putting the phones on next which is gonna sacrifice a lot of diameter, but hopefully I can gear it way up and get it going pretty darn quick!

@@BriansRCStuff beware, make sure the wheels you use clear the spindles at tge a arms. Arrmas spindles are pretty tall. I tried putting 1.9 crawler wheels on mine and it was a no go. Tried Rlaarlo wheels as well, no go. So check or it may not work .. moving my guitar shop home this week, I’ll be able to do speed runs with that special battery this weekend. Ugh moving sucks. Stupid economy, but my chapter ain’t over yet

Thank you! I was trying to fit my foams on there today and they just barely cleared! I couldn't make it happen thought as the 12mm adaptors were stuck and I was afraid I was going to break them trying to get it off..... oh well, moving to plan B Sorry you have some much going on right now. That is hard! Nobody needs that kind of stress in their life. I can't wait to see you run that LIPO. I hope it posts some great speeds for ya!

Kinda sounded like the slipper was slipping maybe I had to tighten mine so many times when trying to run 26t pinion couldn’t tell it was slipping till I eliminated it lol 😂

Hmmm, I think I have it set pretty good. When I recently replaced the spur, I had to adjust it. Before even on 3s it wouldn't wheelie but now it does on 3s and very easily on 4s. That being said, it still sound like it slips a little which is good.... but the crappy axles still pop just the same. What kind of axles do you run?

How do you test the mah on a battery Brian??

I dropped them down to 3.4v per cell and charge them at 1c. I accidentally started recording this one a little late, but I did start at 3.4v.
