Bro what Is the actual distance of a good speed run?
@BriansRCStuff5 күн бұрын
With the stock Traxxas transmitter you want about 1/2 mile total per run or about .25 mi. per each way or about 650 feet each way away from the transmitter you can see the distance of each of my speed runs on the GPS and you take that distance and divided by four calculate how far away from the transmitter on each run. If you’re only going 60 or 70 an hour, distance, but when you’re gone, you need every bit of that. It is tricky though, because unless you have a feel for it, you can easily go out range, which is of course not good. Also, fresh batteries will help maximize your range, and I did increase the height of my antenna, which helped as well.

I have something to ask being new to hobby grade RC's In the Instruction manual for the 16890A it says ( before useing the car and before storing the battery to fully charge the battery ) and it also says ( only use the USB charger that came with the car to charge the batteries ) but all the guys in the comments on You Tube are telling me not to fully charge the batteries to store them and that i need a Balance charger talked Directly to Haiboxing and they told me And I quote ( fully charge the batteries to store them and to only use the USB charger that came with the car ! So who's right Haiboxing the Company who builds and sells the car or the guys in the comnent's on You Tube ??
@BriansRCStuff11 күн бұрын
I am SHOCKED HBX would say only use a USB charger and to store fully charged. LIPOs do not like to be left fully charged or discharged and should be stored around 3.8 to 3.85v per cell (about half charged). Your USB charger is fine for charging a 2s LIPO but getting down to storage voltage can be tricky without a hobby grade charger. What you could do for now is run it down to about 3.8v per cell or run it down a bit lower and then charge it back up to around 3.8v using a LIPO voltage checker to get it close to storage charge. Even if you get it to say 3.75 or 3.9v per cell, the LIPO will be way happier than fully charged. Leaving a LIPO fully charged will degrade the performance/capacity over time and if it was to catch fire, would have a lot more energy in it and would be a much bigger problem than one kept at storage voltage. If you want a good hobby grade charger at a great price, check out this dual channel unit (I have tested it). For under $80 on sale it is a great deal. Another great option at a low price is this more basic one channel charger for around $40 (I have also tested this one). a.co/d/0286S1e9 HBX is wrong is that is what they said.
@BriansRCStuff11 күн бұрын
I think most of the HBX manuals state something like "Do not leave the battery pack uncharged or fully charged for long periods of time." This is a dumbed down version of keeping it at storage voltage.

@@timmy4539 Well... that is how you charge a NiMH battery but not a LIPO or LiIon. Sadly that person was misinformed. : ( I am happy to try to help you to pick a good budget charger if you send me a link(s). If you want to email me in email address is in the about section of my channel or we can try to do it here (sometimes KZfaq deletes internet addresses from comments when you try to post them). The chargers I sent you links to will charge/discharge/storage voltage charge but there are many other good options out there. You are not going to ruin a LIPO overnight but leaving them fully charged but over a period of months the performance will degrade. I am really anal about keeping mine at storage voltage as I want them to perform at their best and I test LIPOs for many manufactures. When I do speedruns, I don't to wonder if I am getting the full performance out of a LIPO.... so within a few hours of running a LIPO, I put them to storage voltage. You would run your truck about half of its run time (say like 5 or 10 minutes) to at least get the LIPOs closer to storage voltage. You can get voltage checkers like these www.amazon.com/SIPYTOPF-Battery-Voltage-Warning-Indicator/dp/B0B8XDLVMS/ref=sr_1_9?crid=1IVFSA9S6IPGX&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.QcWJqPcdQnL9CI2wFHHdMpPGDunLsxCyelvBgssx4J9XTKeLmydca4r6uVSChzNQBjp-Fmnkw4VTyTxuEpewRDrea1S-6nyqeYC3wrrVz27KB0h4gyZMN1Hgu_Udr4948l3OKyut_p7Ybfe-06akQpGvBu4vDSBh5CmTY_q1NLYabsy0ItXwW8I1CWPlK-rurC3wYcdxIfACxvUiuoMQR0Vbp4vx5r-L_N1FLL7L__I.ixXQXQ21JazuFknoGXdT16yk9FsnrrpFYrg-gz8jQKo&dib_tag=se&keywords=lipo+voltage+checker&qid=1719200213&s=toys-and-games&sprefix=lipo+voltager+checker%2Ctoys-and-games%2C73&sr=1-9 They are cheap and are really nice to have when running a RC car or truck.
