@@kez850 I did. It needed a recalibration and then I upped the pinion size to an 18t. Now it does 65mph on 6S with Backflip 4S wheels which are only marginally bigger. No overheating issues.

@@kez850 Mines been in storage for the last six months due to poor weather in the UK. Its nice to have it back out. I would say that the LSD diffs are complicated so if you have a problem with one, Id suggest simply replacing it with a new one from a Breakers like Jennys RC but you may be a much better diff mechanic than me.

Man id love to have one. I have no idea what 1/8 truggy id get but so far from what iv research the talion exb is takeing the lead. Do you think it is more durable then a old school HPI savage x 4.6 nitro ? I use to have one and I was happy with the durability. I also wanted the HPI Vorsa S truggy ( green one ) but it does not have a center tower brace and the front seems to sit to low for me . The HPI Savage XL v2 flux ( the orange one ) seems cool ( i loved my old school savage 4.6 nitro ) with the longer chassis but it has a weak servo and dean connectors id have to change. Team Corally has great components yet there durability is just terrible from what people have told me. The Team Corally Kronos XTR roller does come with a center brace and carbon fiber so mybie that would be improveing over there last one that never had that. No bumpers on there gunshow or tiny weak ones. What do you think bud ?

@@jah-jah87 dboots 4s backflips give it a small ride height increase, way better air control, and keep the nimble handling. Plus they’re cheap. No other hardware is needed since they’re both 17mm hexs

Did you use the badlands 3.8?

i’m stuck between the sledge and the talion, which would you recommend, nothing seems to beat the talion for toughness, but the sledge looks great and the build quality is top

@@leegorman3329 I literally spent 40 minutes debating between these too today at my local hobby shop and went with the talion because of the durability and performance. The sledge is very good looking but I’ve had so many problems with traxxas so I went with it. Plus it was $130 cheaper. I’ll update you on the car after a couple weeks

@@leegorman3329 the car is crazy fast and I crash into a brick wall at 40 mph and not even a scratch. It just doesn’t wheelie so you’ll want to try the dboots 4s backflip tires and get a new heatsiznk and fan for the motor and a new fan for the esc

I definitely think I want to pick one of these up I have the notorious 6s right now but I think I'm going to pick one of these up to they're just a little expensive though and the price of batteries right now sucks

@@coyster530 I’m in the same boat as you I had my motor 6s out with max6 esc and found it super dooper dope on the tarmac so now I feel like the Talion would be more suited as he sit lower What did you do in the end 😎

@Vape N Clash we have our own track "badlandz rc" that's more about fun than serious racing etc. We do have timing gear but again it's more about fun fast paced racing and big air sends off our mega ramp

Arrmas 3s is absolutely meh. There 6s line is where they shine forreal. Not even a comparison

@@carterthemotardguy8527 my Typhon is the V2 Typhon, and my understanding is that was the worst version of it for electronics. The Granite was pretty tough, but handled like crap and had basically the same electronics. I just may jump on their 6s line when I get a chance.

I'm no fanboy but I would lean towards the Arrma. They are proven tough and have good support. But also traxxas does these same things I just had a bad taste left in my mouth after the mini Erevo nightmare. They both look sick tho.

@@daveshank1921 just out of curiosity, what are you referring to when you say the “mini e-revo nightmare”...? That’s what I bought for my son for his first RC and he loves it.

@@zachyurkus I bought one a few years back when I reentered the hobby after a little break. It was a super fast truck but working on it was a pain and it seemed like a money pit. I hated the shocks they were always super springy no matter what I filled em with and the slop on the knuckles was insane. I just had a bad experience with it. I also bought my son a Traxxas Slash that we cant keep together. I'm just done with traxxas. I only buy AE or Tekno now. That is what I call the "mini revo nightmare"

@@daveshank1921 man I have to concur with the damn springy shocks on this thing...mainly in the rear to keep the ass from dragging. I don’t mind working on mine quite so much but it is fiddly for sure. Sorry to hear this man, glad you’ve found a platform you’re happy with though.

I don’t support traxxas, mainly because they sue other companies for concepts they didn’t introduce, and then they go and copy the kraton, can’t wait for horizon hobby to sue traxxas for that

Yes Sir! you can raise the front and rear post. The height adjustment to the rear makes it Hella easier🤔 with the double stacked lipo's and wire management too!😊

I Also hit Basher Queen up on eBay! and she said she's working on a set of front/rear shock tower adapters that will accept the new Traxxas Sledge Clipless body too, the shock towers for the Kraton are out on her site check out Earl Monroe's install video of the Sledge Clipless body on a Kraton!😍

i like the kraton but rather buy the talion. I like how it comes as an RTR and for $700 thats a great deal.

I put marine grease in the center diff and it worked wonders
