Of course the Talion wins! It's basically the basher version of a racing truggy! I've got a Version 1 Talion that is pretty dialed. Love seeing Talion videos, great subject. 100k center diff 6k front 6k rear 90mm tekno pink front springs 90mm tekno orange rear springs 80wt shock oil all around Stock roll bar in front No roll bar in back Slight toe out in front No Ackerman angle Barely any camber front and back Rear camber links set to slope from low to high from center to wheel. Duratrax X cons 1/2 offset wheels/tires.

Great video mark. I like that you put in the video that the talion was on stock esc settings. You know someone would say to bump up the punch to backflip. Both cars are nice and I would love to have both. But I gotta wait. Trying to get my race rigs race ready. Keep up the good work. Love the videos

Very impressive running footage of both rigs but more so damn fine control on the track🍻 I don't mean this in a negative way at all (more so the opposite) when I say you boys sure know how to be so precise and consistent which obviously comes from much practice on that track, almost like your driving skills are at their best on the track more than say free running or bashing in general. I would have been all over that track or any track of that size/difficulty but I've also never raced competitively at all but watching this sure makes me want to give it a try soon. Must say I enjoyed this vid alot and the editing/music really meshed well for sure. Thanks for showing how the fast basher triggers perform on track with/without stock tires both entertaining and educational.

Thanks for the great content as always. I have the Sledge with response pro tires and i test it on the track also. I think that only issue is that car is really heavy. Because with the new 0,06s servo and responsive tires its ok for fun or hobby race, but it is not really competitive. Friend suggested me take some second hand race truck for not destroy Sledge on the track :-D I will do LCG conversion to my 5years old Slash 4X4 and also i bought cheap second hand TLR22 SCT 2.0 which i completing right now and we will see. I think that Sledge can go only on 4S some small capacity battery on track, and it will be weight difference better than remove T bar.

Great video!! Good comparo too. My bro just picked up a sledge last week. I am impressed. Drives pretty damned well!! I do wonder how much better the talion would drive without the lsd..we have 3 exb models between us(bro and I) and seems to me like the lsd in the exb models really kills the handling.

Seems like the sledge is geared more for us Bashers w original tires and the Talion was more geared for the track w the race tires. I am sticking w the sledge as there aren’t any tracks around here in OH. Been bashing it like my XMAXX and love it!! Thanks for the comparison!

Use the v4 arms on the Talion and it will make it so much better. Also remove the center brace and move to plastic braces as well

My bro did like his Slegde over his Talion. Until I put my Kraton tires on it and turned it into a wild animal upping the punch to 9. That got his attention and pretty much game over for the Sledge at that moment. He bought Backflip tires and now the Talion is his #1 car. He didn’t stair at the Slegde, like he does the Talion. Lol. I have to get Tires now for my Kraton, because his Talion is sick now from stock form.

My expectation was that the Talion would take it, I'm surprised in stock form that it didn't do better than the Sledge though. Bad tires are a great equalizer LOL!

When I first took my Kraton to the track, I learnt that nobody runs Arrma or Taxxas at the track (not around here anyways :P) I Got a 2nd hand buggy to get me started and just got my 1st kit, a Tekno truggy so I can enter 2 classes. Love it and will upgrade my Buggy to Tekno soon too so they can share parts and because my old one is actually heavier than this Truggy. My Kraton is an M2C bash monster and I save my Tekno for the track. :) Thanks for the vidz

Finally got the response tires for my Sledge. Also the wheelie bar from Traxxas. Put the 70mph speed gears in. Going to see if it will do it.

Hello, don't forget to balance Response pro tires. I balanced it few hours for reach the perfect balance(some wheel has up to 4 different places for the balancing material). Because they are light very much and that's reason why it is not really easy. Balance stock Sledgehammers taken only few minutes.

I would like to see them running on 4s I put my sledge on 4s and now I can really let the truck eat on the track . Compared to 6s we're I could bearly touch throttle.

Another problem with the Talion is the LSD diffs , much easier to tune with open diffs and the diff fluid . You don't see any of the big name brand race kits with LSD's . Love my Talion V4 with open diffs !!!! Next thing is a sensored motor to really feel smooth and controlled !!!

Did you run the talion with the stock belted katars? Just a small gearing change makes the talion stupid fast and it loves the dirt!! Can’t wait to get my hands on a sledge. Love the video as always. Thank you MSM!!!

Hey Mark, been watching the vlog constantly since I found it some months ago. Bought a Traxxas Bigfoot last November and got the RC bug. Now have two plus a Slash, a GT40 & a Hoss. A SILVER STINGRAY showed up at the door after your trip to the Traxxas store. My wife says I'm out of control. When the Vette showed up, I told her I won it, that flew for about 30 seconds. Now I've got some of the neighborhood kids coming out to play. Keep up the mix you have going pard. Was looking for an older vlog and can't find it. What is the difference between a truggy and a buggy. Can't get a clear answer on the web. Blessings to you and the family. Love it when they show up once in a while. Tommy

I was in the same boat as you when I started 2 years ago. Now I have 14 cars and still want more. Bought my first 5 in the first 5 months of being in the hobby. Trying to get into racing now. Truggy is bigger than buggy. Longer and wider.

I just bought my first traxxa bandit. I want another one too. Which one should I get? I’m thinking either the 4x4 slash vxl or rustler 4x4 vxl

@@adrianlifts1838 either is great choice. And a lot of the pets between the 2 are interchangeable. I was given the slash vxl 4x4 and that’s what started me in the hobby. I think the rustler is a little more stable than the slash out the box. With all that said, if I were in the market for a slash or rustler, I would probably by a rustler just because of the looks. It’s why I bought the erevo 2.0 even though a lot of people were telling me to buy the maxx. Regardless of what you get, enjoy the hobby

@@bwilRC if you have 2 3s batteries that means they’re equivalent to a 6s because they are wired in series which means the voltage of one of the 3s lipos is doubled so it’s equivalent to a 6s. Think of it this way using 2 3s batteries is like using one 6s that’s been cut in half. Hope that makes more sense.

Couple things: 1) MSM isn't sponsored by Traxxas...he does bash with Traxxas cars but he isn't compensated by them 2) if you're looking to get him to a) respond to you and b) try a vehicle out, you could be a whole heck of a lot more respectful
