In this video we unbox the latest offering from Arrma, the Talion EXB RTR edition. Weighing in at a whopping $700.00 plus dollars, this car has a lot to live up to. Touted as the 70 mile per hour out of the box super truck - with the optional gearing, of course - this should prove to be one of Arrma's fastest production dirt cars. Things do not go so smoothly, however, as the Talion meets it's EXB nemesis - the stock EXB front arms. Come along as AJ takes you through this new car and then puts it to the test, both on 4s and then on 6s. Dirt ripping, area bashing, and big jumps are on order as this latest video from AJJAMStudios takes to the screen.

I got the Armma Talion 6s red canopy. The Absolute best 6s on the market. It has better Acceleration, pickup ( yes even with the high speed gear installed) better Cg ( Center of gravity) . When i first layed eyes on the Talion I fell in love.. I highly recommend it. Bar none. That and the Typhon. They might be expensive but damm was worth it. You'll have years of quality fun.

@@AJJAMStudios Anytime your video kicks ass. Why because I am Away from my home right recovering in the hospital and when.. I saw your video I was yeaaaaaaa I immediately thought of my Talion That I only used 2 times because I am not trashing and bashing a $600 rc truggy. One specific detail That caught my attention about the Talion is when I bought my Blue Typhon that I got on sale back in 2017 for 420$ is the way the Talion sits really low to the ground. I couldn't afford it at the time so I promised myself and 4 years. Later I got it. I have not regrets.

RPM arms front and rear are always the first thing I change, on ALL of my offroad RC cars and trucks. They simply make the best.
@AJJAMStudios
@AJJAMStudios 2 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. The materials they use are simply better. Their products are more flexible, handle cold weather better, and take a pounding before breaking; if they break at all. I've had the best luck with RPM components all the way from the Xmaxx to my 10th scale cars. They all seem to hold up beautifully. I put them on all of the cars in my collection that break arms, when they are available from RPM, of course. AJ

@@barneyrebel0123 Never swap out the front and back control arms unless your just looking for an aesthetic bling look to your Talion Because if your bashing the shit out of your Talion all those vibrations from jumping and landing hard Will reverberate all over the metal Chassis until it finds a weak Point and it will snap causing alot of damage which means $$$$$$$$$ It's ok if you upgrade to aluminum To all the other parts suchs steering linkages steering knuckles spoiler supports etc. plastic is cheap and easy to repair so in the event you land hard from a jump the vibrations will transfer directly to the plastic control arms and break saving you a lot more money trust me I talk through experience and had to learn the hard way.😉

Great review. Definitely the most detailed I’ve seen. I’d love to know what shock oil weight you went with. Also, Arma diffs drive me nuts with their factory oil weight they use. I’ve had some that were barely filled. What diff oils set up did you use for the front, rear and center?
@AJJAMStudios
@AJJAMStudios 2 жыл бұрын
It’s been a minute since I set that rig up but I believe the shocks still have the stock oil in them, as is our normal for the channel for an RC that controls well right out of the box. The diffs were all inspected and refilled. As I remember it was 30K front, 50K rear, and 100K center. It felt good with the tire weight and controls well for our driving style. Thanks for asking 👍

@AJJAMStudios
@AJJAMStudios 2 жыл бұрын
I understand. In my experience I have had to replace the pinion because the threads were too loose. The fit of the pinion and the set screw is very important. Perhaps the one you got with your model was out of tolerance. Just an idea for you. And one more thing, heat softens loctite so using more on bad threads usually does not help much. I hope you get this issue resolved. 😎👍

I think this one falls through the cracks simply because of the looks of it. IMHO, it's one of the most unatractive cars out there right now. The body and wheels are the problem. A friend of mine has changed out the body on his to something else, I don't remember what it was, and swapped out the wheels as soon as he needed a new tire. Looks a lot better now.

@AJJAMStudios
@AJJAMStudios Жыл бұрын
If your Outcast is a 6s, then you should try the Talion tires for the oval. I think they will allow for more control and acceleration without trying to stand up every time you pull the trigger. And for the punch setting, if you can spin the wheels at a start then the punch is set plenty high enough. Remember, the higher the punch setting the shorter the runtime due to amp draw.

For the type of driving you were doing in this video, high speed dirt, corrugations, smaller jumps etc would you recommend the Mojave or Kraton 1/5 scale? And would you mind telling me why you would choose the one you did? Thanks and good job on your videos!
@AJJAMStudios
@AJJAMStudios 2 жыл бұрын
That would be a matter of what the driver is into. Each car has its charms. The Mojave is awesome for a desert racer, fast, awesome to watch run, and it’s tough as nails. The Kraton 6s EXB is cool too but in different ways. With some mild modding this thing is super durable. It is fast, jumps well, and is powerful. I would say the Kraton is a bit more versatile however. You mentioned 5th scale, again, it’s a different animal altogether. I bought the V2 RTR because we usually get the RTR before we get the EXB. As things stand right now, the 5th scale Kraton RTR is number one in our collection. But again, it is all a matter of choice for the driver. Performance, brute force, all around toughness, these all play a part. My favorite out of these three rigs has to be the Kraton 8s but it is a close thing. For me, any of them would make for an awesome day out bashing. I hope this helps 😎👍
