Great review - first I've seen on this new Arrma range. With Christmas fast approaching I can see this being very popular with the younger ones. Great upgrade path if they take to the hobby and develop their driving skills. A sure fire winner at this pricing point.

Ya I had my boost for a month and installed the 4x4 kit and yesterday I was hooking up the arrma 3s brushless boost kit and I had everything connecting fine until I got to connecting the motor to the diff and it would not connect so I ended up taking it to my local hobby shop

Put in a 6500 Zeee lipo battery 🔋 and watch that thing fly like no one’s business

Ok so yes, all this 4x2 line, better known as the boost line is around 200 u s. And keep in mind it is indeed geared for a brushless setup so to get the best speed out of the box you will need to up the pinion I believe 2 to 3 teeth depending on the surface you run on, um you should be just fine with a 2 tooth jump, it tends to run better on high traction surfaces, but it's a 2 wheel drive rc line, that should pretty much be expected to a slightly experienced rc driver, if you are not experienced then you will learn this quickly there is a different way of driving a 2 wheel drive rc, and with the mid motor mount system there is less weight in the back to help the rear wheel drive get bite, keep this in mind as well, these are not bad rc's by any means I'm not saying this at all, but arrma took the 4 wheel drive line and Took the adjustment and never made it a true 2 wheel drive rc as I'm guessing they are really wanting to sell you the boost upgrade kit, now I suggest you learn to drive the boost line as it comes first as you will need to gain skills to drive in 4x4 four wheel drive, and the kit to change it back to a 4x4 is I think 50 and don't come with everything u will need, yes it will come with a front diff. Also a drive shaft, a plastic drive shaft but don't let that fool you, theses drive shafts are super durable, and if you buy a longer chassis senton I think it comes with a bearing cradle and bearing for the drive shaft so as to help keep it stable at higher speeds, now if you buy the boost upgrade with intent on going super fast like a speed build, then you will need to find a solution to the drive shaft as after so high a speed it wobbles and rubs and breaks, also if you wish to go brushless You will need to supply your own motor and ESC, you may want to switch out the servo as well, also you will need to change the receiver and radio if you go brushless I don't know the range of stock radio they supply, now depending on brand and quality motor and ESC can cost a bit, my advice but a rebranded hobby wing or another rebranded set up if you're choice you get the best of both worlds this way quality at a cheaper cost, however if you have the funds and have the skills at this point I say order a team corraly spur, pinion, and motor and ESC set up out of the box they are one of the fastest, and they do have a 4s option as well in the skeeter, but skeeter is a lot heavier than these arrmas so it should work just fine to bash with, now for the adjustments, you will need to buy them from the blx line the mega line doesn't come with them I don't think, so bottom line for a 2 wheel drive, there are cheaper out there to learn on, however that is not what this line is meant for, this 4x2 boost line is a learning line, that is made to grow with you as you gain skills, you can order everything thing you need from arrma, or put some thought into it and patients and order or buy from arrma and and others as well just because you can get everything from one place don't mean you have to and don't mean it is the best you can do. What arrma has offered with this line is a cost effective fairly easy upgrade path that can grow with you as your skills improve, pretty nice if you ask me, but I'm not saying everyone will like theses rc's no one model fits everything obviously so choose wisely and don't think you're stuck with arrma upgrades just cause it's a arrma rc

Blx 3s cars have diff issues god help a single diff. Arrma have cost customers more money than ever before. Upgrade will need done asap, that rear diff will last 5 minutes with a brushless set up and I think even stock it could have issues. Let us know how you get on and what you decide to do.
