Granted mine is still running 3S but from all of your videos. I’m feeling I did great picking up a pristine used Vorteks for $240. It came with upgraded Traxxas Big Bore shocks and got a Lectron 5200mah 50c Lipo with it and all the stock parts that coming in the box. This is my first ever RC. Thank you for the great Vorteks content!

@William Perri Thanks Bill. Do you know what system he was running? I'm running the Max10 setup with the metal spur from the 4S lineup was afraid the plastic one would just blow up on 4S😆 I'm looking for it to get to a good 50 degrees to run this again. The day I ran this it was pushing 30 and getting colder.

@@ReadySetRC I got the max 10 in my 3s Typhon running 4S and it is insane. I forgot the 4S line had a metal spur gear. Funny, I was thinking earlier you don't have a 3s Typhon. The reason I bring that up is I love running mine on road and lowered and you are an on road guy.

@@williamperri3437 True! You know what took my place on that was the Radix 6. Last year it was down to the Radix 4 and the Typhon 3S, friend of the channel talked me out of it and was able to get me the Radix 6 at an insane price.

@@ReadySetRC I tried to buy the Radix 6 last summer but I could only find the 4... Well, you own a lot of monster trucks and to me there's nothing like a buggy and the light 3s with 6s Typhon wheels is AWESOME! 😉 but I imagine the Radix feels lighter than the 6s Typhon and the lighter feeling of the 3s is what I love.

I like the way you setup that Vorteks with those wheels! It's a little Street Ripper especially on 4s. It has a low center of gravity out of the box. It just needed that Extra push. Nice, you can do allot with the Arrma 3s platform. Stay safe and bash on from Colorado!!!

@Ervin Medina Thank you man! Totally agree the Arrma 3S line up is so versatile. A few tweaks here and there and you got a completely different truck. For me some reason when I saw the Vorteks released, I saw a street ripper more than a off-road basher.

Nice vid, looking to do the same. That 4000kv motor is not rated at 4s right? How is it holding up? Is it able to be bashed around in dirt and stuff with this setup with stock pinion... does it have less torque than the stock? Do you think it would be ok to run the max10 with the 3200kv motor on 4s?

@Nothing The motor is not rated for 4S. I wouldn't push it off-road on 4s but for a few passes on-road it's good. It's much more torque than the stock setup. I've since moved on from the Vorteks. Had to thin out the herd😊

@P.Trick93 Only issue I was having with them it was so damn cold I wasn't getting much grip. I usually run the golds on my Limitless when it's this cold. They hook up really good in the cold.

@@monkeytrident Yup, I put that in the description too. I put the Traxxas hubs from the T-Maxx on there. Part #5353R.

@@ReadySetRC wow really I did look at that item you listed, I did not think it was the conversion as the default wheel axles on the vorteks is 14mn and what you are placing on the vehicle is 17mm how did you do that bit ? btw how did you find the new tires compared to stock if you had to rate them on a ratting out of 10, 10 being the best.

@@monkeytrident Yeah the hubs go on pretty smooth. I don't think this run was fair on the tires though at least for this day. Would have needed to heat the tires up or run it on a warmer day. I opt for warmer day. Just waiting for the days to warm up at least to 60 degrees F before taking it back out. I strongly suggest these tires before the stockers. Not sure the stockers can handle that kind of power. Keep in mind though the ESC is rated for 4S but the motor is not. It can handle it but keep an eye on temps and keep it to a few passes at least on warm days.

Cool vid man!, I have been contemplating on getting this car, I’m indecisive, I’m either thinking this or the team corally Kronos v2, they have recently gone on sale by a decent bit, they both seem amazing, do you have any knowledge on what might be the overall better car to get?

@TheNoodleNator If it is down to this and the Kronos V2, I'm going to say this BUT if it is a TC vehicle you are looking for can I suggest either the Radix 6, Kronos XTR 2022 or the Sketer. I own the Radix 6 and the Sketer so far both great vehicles and I believe they are both part of that sale. I do not have the Kronos XTR but it looks like it is built like a tank. All of them I would take over the Kronos 2021. If you are in the states, check out Chicagoland RC. They have 10% off the price with a code chicago10. Best deal I've seen online for the TC RC's.

Nice combo and tires. Do the hoons last a decent amount of time? And can you do power slides with them if you wanted to?

@Ryndel Holding up all depends on how aggressive you drive. I still have my original Hoons on my Limitless and Felony. Power slide for days.

@@Ryndel I would say the Felony would be better for a parking lot basher. The Limitless the way it is setup out of the box is more controlled and with that center spool geared for speed runs. I have mine tuned more for touring. I threw in a center diff. Doesn't really power slide but it is really dialed in for touring.

shakedown ? You have to heat 🔥 those tires either by skills or up against the curb . you are a collector my freind not a basher .. I spend alot hours getting a rc ready and 1st run will be a shakedown Which than gets negated to parts eventually. if you actually bash everyday its impossible for your rcs to be pretty . I just took those wheels off my outcast because I do want them for looks on the shelf When I need for bashing I make sure I have another set 1st . Ps nice jump in front safety town where kids sled ride I be hitting the park up tomorrow while at work 😆

@Paul Clancy What RC hobbyist is not a collector😆 Otherwise you would only have one or two RC's and I'm pretty sure you got more than that🤣 I agree I can't bash everyday, I got a family to support. I don't film the hours I put into these cars to get them to this point. This car is far from stock. I guess I should have mentioned that🤔 Man you've seen my clean videos I take pride in my stuff. I was taught things don't come easy so you better treat it like you will never get another.

@PhilthyCo RC I was talking about this to the owner of my LHS yesterday. Yeah man! That ring and pinion is humming. He was saying the bearing on the center may help too. I'm thinking about that one.

@dude man Hobbywing Max10 combo. ESC is rated for 4S but motor is not. How I drive it the motor can handle it. I've had no issues but would not recommend for hard off-road bashing.
