I loved Stephen Amell's performance here, that sound he makes when Chase grabs William said more any dialogue could have.

After this ep, this is definitely my favorite season. MAN, IT WAS OFF THE CHAIN. PD: Hats off to Josh Segarra, fantastic villain to a fantastic season.

When Slade told Artemis to put a gun to his face, I immediately thought of the episode in season one, when Slade is training Oliver and he tells him to jam a gun in his face. I don't know if any of you thought the same thing.

Love how Slade went back to the "jam a gun in my face" perfect circle then Oliver remembers how to disarm Artemis

man this season finale made me watch the pilot again because the flashbacks led straight back to the pilot, it makes Oliver's intentions in the first season so much clearer. 10/10 for this episode

As you said, blowing them up is the perfect cover. It's also the perfect opportunity to move the story in literally any direction they please, what with the story threads they closed. Fingers are crossed HARD for next season!! I really enjoyed Season 5.

This season saved this show IMO. Don't care that Prometheus' motif was very 'Joker-esque', it was still a well developed villain throughout the entirety of the season. Bravo Arrow

This episode is one of my all time favorite Arrow episodes and I really love that Lance supports Dinah as the Black Canary.

I really hope next season they'll do a Deathstroke looking for his son arc, and that ties into the bigger plot and he crossed paths with Oliver again

Best season ever for Arrow! Better than Flash this season... Prometheus's plan was the best of all big bad's!!! Wish he didn't die Hope Barry can cause a flashpoint to bring everyone back. I'm gonna miss the flashbacks now 5.5 months to see this cliffhanger be resolved.

This isn't a spoiler but Marc has said that they'll do flashbacks every now and again for other characters when it fits the story but otherwise it's all gonna be set in present day. I for one love that idea.

As soon as I seen that part with the two Canaries I was like I can't wait until the blind wave guys see that.

Watching the pilot episode you can tell the main story arch over the 5 years of flashbacks was somewhat thought out. In the pilot he was caught speaking Russian and he wasn't willing to explain how he knew it, he quickly changed the subject. So obviously the Bratva was already decided before the series began.

This was a great episode! Season 2 finale is still my favorite, but this is definitely second favorite. Stephen Amell and the guy who played Prometheus did awesome this season! When Thea said that line about Curtis handling things on his own, I started laughing out loud. 😂 I love that Slade was a good guy, hope he stays as one. As soon as I heard Digger Harkness was there, I was like "Eric is gonna freak!". 😁 By the way Aaron, the movie you were talking about is called Man of the House. Loved the little story about John Barrowman making Stephen laugh was too funny. Great reaction guys, great video. This was a fantastic season. See you guys for next season!

My favourite detail from this episode is that you can see the flare of Chase's gunshot in Oliver's eyes.

A fun thing to look after if you re-watch the episode: Deathstroke is never shown unmasked in big group shot except for about three seconds towards the end when he is walking in the background with his face slightly blurred out, which was most likely a stunt double. In other words Manu Bennett was not actually there 90% of the time and did voice over for the majority of his dialogue. The only people Slade is seen with is Oliver, Nyssa and Black Siren (with a group of assassin clad extras). This is due to Scheduling conflicts I would presume.

Am I the only one who LOVES Oliver's reaction when he first lays eyes on his son. That nervous sound he makes though

Prometheus obviously knew about the ARGUS prison too - he got to Boomerang either via an ARGUS guard or in person. And we saw he had also mined the temple. So it is likely the prison might also have some explosives but depending how strong it is, might simply be used to seperate people and have to dig out from being buried. Either way it does seem a plausible place to head for, either that or attempt to swim to the remains of the Amazo. Depending how they are going to go next year, I think a likely casualty could be Samantha (William's mother) who stated she wasn't going to leave the island without her son. Could be a new dynamic in the show - with both Rene & Oliver struggling to be fathers. Overall a great episode, and worthy finale to the first 5 years. *spoilery* I am aware of three actors becoming series regulars for S6 and one CW stalwart definitely being gone (although on this I am personally not ruling out further flashback appearances for them)

when I saw captain boomerang, I was like, Eric be so happy, and his reaction did not disappoint me. I do wonder if they will use this to remove, or hide anyone for next season for a bit. I am glad to hear Artemis theory, cause it been sorta what i been saying or thinking since her "betray"

Oh man, been so excited to see how you two react to this amazing season finale. Arrow has been on point this season and really hope they keep this momentum into S6. They completely made me forget about S4s low points with how great S5s been overall.

Remebering when Adrian said see you on the boat he literally meant see you on the boat because your son is on there. He gave oliver a clue and oliber never realised it. He knew what was gonna happen. Adrian was never behind he was always 10 steps ahead. Adrian never lost against Oliver and that will haunt him forever.

The was one hell of a season finale if Dc comics make a Arrow movie and don't cast Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen they might as well not make a Arrow movie
