Good feedback - thank you! I shoot a 26” draw at about 55lb. I used a 400 spine Easton Axis 4mm with the Easton aluminum halfout (I wanted to use steel but it was heavy upfront with the steel insert and couldn’t get it to tune). The nocks are standard also, I just changed them to white for looks.

@@averysoutdooradventuresllc Have you had problems with the aluminum halfouts bending? Seen a lot of chatter online about those. Looking to do this same setup but was thinking about the titanium halfouts due to what I have read about the aluminum bending.

I personally haven’t had issues and I used those same arrows for Aoudad, Mule Deer, and several white tails. That said, I’ve also heard of the same issues from several sources. If I could get the bow to tune with the added weight up front, I would definitely go steel just to be safe. To me tuning (broadhead) is more important than robustness since I build a lot of arrows - this may not be the same priority for everyone. I am about to build a bow for a moose hunt next year which I will be going to a 340 spine and using stainless half outs (assuming they tune at 60-62lb draw).

Hey Eric, I’ve had really good luck with mechanicals. I shot a mule deer (first shot, second fixed), mountain lion, Aoudad, and a few whitetails this year, but I ended up not shooting the Schwacker. The mule deer and Aoudad were with Sevr 1.5. Both ended up in/near the opposite shoulder of the animal, both dropped in sight. For the whitetails and lion, because they were closer shots, I used the G5 deadmeat. Next year I am moose hunting and I will definitely have a fixed head. In my opinion it’s all about where you hit them and picking the right head for the situation! I have all those videos posted less one of the does which I didn’t video, and another which you can see as a reel on insta but it’s not very good quality (first filmed hunt).
