This proves absolutely nothing. How are you going to do a durability test by standing on an arrow thats not even meant to be stood on.. testing durability would have been to shoot the damn thing.

How are you going to compare a 340 spine arrow to a 300? Wtf? What a waste of time.

You should’ve used a 300 spine arrow for the axis. That’s probably why it broke is because it was a weaker spine than the other two arrows. Sick video though!

This is a sad excuse of testing an arrow. As stated below. (1) the chairs spread from one shaft to the next. (2) fmj shaft gets popped off chair and lands on it as its hitting the floor and bottom rung of chair. (3) different spines. If you want to help fellow archer's and hunters out be precise.

The nice thing about the VAP TKO is that u can get a higher FOC with them & they r not just tough. They penetrate 👍& if your bow is super efficient u will get a quieter shot with less drop than if u loaded up another heavier shaft that all together goes over 600 grains. I've had this arrow in my quiver since the Easton ACC's were discontinued.

Stands on all other arrows for 1 sec stands on Easton axis for 10 sec longer XD

crap test chairs got further and further apart every time and the cloth below arrows was not on last arrow

aluminums, xx75's, fly pretty good plus with a lathe you can make solid steel inserts/ field tips or broadheads silver soldered into hacksaw blade slits on a tensioned, guided rack. .components, archery stores, bad designs, all this tech nonsense just costs alot of money as manufacturers manage to skirt around a simple solution in favor of an expensive fake solution. .i'm just glad that xx75're still available @ $46 a dozen

Use all the same spine so the first one was 300 all the rest should be 300.

Man the FMJ guys are fired up in these comments. I challenge everyone who watches this and is an FMJ fan to go shoot a vap and an equal in weight FMJ into some ballistics gel and tell me that the VAP doesn't penetrate deeper every time

It's just a terrible test. Each test had the chairs further apart and to compare a 350 spine to 260 on a bend test is apple's to hand grenades. Stupid, invalid test. And I dont use fmj.

I cleaned the shaft inside with a q-tip & outside with a paper towel. Both had 70% isopropyl rubbing alcohol. Use the same on the back b4 I fletch. I used AAE Max Impact insert adhesive. If u can't get that JB Weld 2 part epoxy works well. I let them set for 24 hours. Since I have about 20 % FOC the arrow with perfect flight has alot of momentum & I feel that if I hid something hard the Max Impact can handle it. But the other shafts with JB Weld on an Ethics insert are holding up. When I get an arrow that spins true I'm interested in keeping it around for a long time. I have several Easton ACC's with the aluminum core that have a wobble collecting dust. I haven't found an arrow under 10 grains per inch that can do what the VAP TKO's do. Just made up a set of Victory VAP .166 to test in the next few months to see if they are as tried & true as the VAP TKO's are.

Use the same spine arrows and the same distance with the chairs. Your test is a fail. And you wonder why the arrow with the weakest spine breaks. SMH.

I've never seen an arrow hit a deer sideways. Very poor test. This test might me legit if I was to beat the deer with the arrow.

The Easton arrows take a bend because they use composite fillers. The Gold Tip torture test machine shows how they snap and how the filler stretches at the break. Also, in my experience, the Easton shafts are more susceptible to shattering below freezing. Still love the straightness out of the box and general durability of the Axis, though. Gold Tip arrow straightness specs are ridiculously bad ever since they went south.

Hahaha.. such a pointless video.. it's so unscientific.. 1 sample each, different sizing, no pre n post wobble test, and composites by the way does not yield. It either breaks or it doesn't. Not to mention the dude jumps on each arrow differently..
