***** It could've made for a great conspiracy storyline with everytime new revalations coming up in the story and the reason why Robert would put so much secrets in the list is to keep it all a secret if the list would've fell in the wrong hands. It wouldn't make Oliver look incompetent because he would solve the mysteries and take highly influential people down along the way. They could've kept merlyn as the big bad of season 1 but then with merlyn revealing during the season finale that he himself is just the tip of the iceberg.

Not if it was set up in the way that Oliver kept taking care of more people written on that list as the show continued. Would have been a very interesting show if they had done it but the stupid writers had to go ahead and ruin it.

Well, I think that back then, since he was the primary focus of the show(hence the name of the show), he had the majority of the screen time and therefore the show had to show him as the capable hero, which he was, at least back then. Nowadays there are way too many people on the screen and they have to make sure all the other characters get attention and enough interest from the viewers, which therefore means that Oliver gets less and less screen time and his character's skills have to be dumbed down, so there is enough space for the other characters in the 45 minutes per episodes that they have.

Undriel Grenger Yup. I liked the episode in season 6 where he went all solo to try and kill Diaz. But of course it was just a phase, and the tOtaLLy bESteSt cHarACteR eVaR, A.K.A Felicity came over and saved the day.

I agree that it's stupid that they made Oliver dumber in future seasons for the sake of giving the other characters (namely Felicity and Curtis) something to do. They actually addressed this back in Season 5 Episode 22 "Missing". Malcolm Merlyn said, "Back before The Undertaking, some of my associates, especially those who were on the wrong end of your bow, thought that the hood had computer skills." Oliver replies, "I had good hardware and a specific purpose." So I guess the writers are trying to play it off as Oliver bought the "hacking arrow" from someone else? Regardless, it's still lazy writing. Also, in the later seasons of Arrow (mainly seasons 7 and 8) they're starting to backtrack and make Oliver smart again. During the Elseworlds crossover, Oliver was able to hack into the GCPD Criminal Database and figure out that John Deegan was the guy they were looking for. When Kara brought up the fact that he knew his way around with a computer, Oliver says, "Well, when I was first starting out, I had to hold my own before Felicity showed up." That was great to see, but then why was he acting like he was completely computer illiterate whenever Felicity explained some computer hacking thing to him? The writing is just inconsistent and it's really annoying.

Adam stole that money from those people 1st. Arrow simply gave it back.

Crime evidence, I think they just never noticed it yet. Or maybe the scene where it showed Oliver transferring money was in the past.

It's a pity because he's probably one of Green Arrow's most unique and interesting enemies. I will always despise the first season for just killing him off like some two-bit chump.

Olicity didn't ruin the show....it was the forced Drama in Olicity that Helped to ruin it....because the stupid writers also went and ruined Diggle/Oliver's relationship in the same way they did Olicity in s6ep17. But utimately, Arrow was Still kind of good at the end of s3 because Oliver was still killing then...Now, when they've made him into a generic batman who hypocritically preaches about his not wanting to kill evil masterminds, the show Really sunk and became a shadow of its former s1 self.

I liked the whole League of Assassins thing. But I agree, he should’ve remained an angry vigilante, sort of shrouded in mystery and always working from the shadows. That’s exactly why Arrow used to be such a great show.

Well the Dark Knight was the inspiration for the first season. As much as I liked Oliver as the Hood, I don’t think the writers would’ve kept him the same for 8 seasons.

Plus each villain came from a flash back other than fryers. You had slade,the omega virus,rider,and constantine kovar. Wouldn't make no sense for them to end it at 3 and not show the flashbacks
