I love this realistic view of the artifact hunt. If nothing else being out in nature is at the heart of it, being where fellow human beings lived you can feel how it must've been. The whole experience soul-satisfying. Congrats on your Guilford find. Thanks for letting us tag along!

Hey RR! Nice finds! I'm glad you're getting to spend some time outdoors! ...in my opinion...the BEST way to avoid ill health of ANY kind! Try not to let all the craziness get to you....we're all suffering to some degree....and we're all going to get past this! We learn more every day. .....and I'm a firm believer that knowledge will "set us free" ...so to speak! In the mean time......great vid!

Loved that quartz point at the end! Still have yet to find one. It's very hard to find artifacts as we all know. A lot of time, thanks for taking us along! Loved your video! Good luck

I’ve watched a lot of your videos! Very cool to see how different points are from different areas in North Carolina. I’m in central North Carolina and we don’t find much quartz stuff, very cool! Have you ever thought about doing a walk around of your collection? Many of us N.C. guys would be thrilled to look at them!

Great video Jeff! Glad to see you on them in the creek now! You've been on a roll my friend! Congratulations! Stay safe and healthy up there.
@ridgeraider14 жыл бұрын
Heartbreaker Relics thank you sir I will be checking more potential creeks close by when it warms up a little more... however the two sister creeks as I call them that run parallel on both sides of that one haven’t produced a single thing thus far

The ditch walker videos gave me a few clues as well I had a conversation with him as well. I live in the high Red desert of Wyoming never looked in the drainages but I know were 10 creeks that flow into the desert. As soon as the snow melts I think I'll give them a try. Great video. Got that creek bed eye quickly.

If you're finding that much in that creek, there's much more in there. My buddies at Seneca relics took me to one of their WV creeks over a year ago and I learned quite a bit from them. Now I have a creek here in Virginia that is starting to produce a few artifacts. We're about an hour and a half away from you and over the years I've found a few Guilfords over here. It's interesting to see what you're finding. Thanks for the video. I'll be watching for your next one!
@ridgeraider14 жыл бұрын
VirginiaFlintknapper Thank you so much I’m still learning the creek... The elevation here is so steep it makes it hard for them to produce but I’m getting close on getting some things figured out... thanks so much for the comment... best wishes and stay healthy

Congrats bro!!! Some really nice finds and it looks like you’re doing quite well in the creek to me!! To come away with an artifact you seek is a successful hunt in my book!! Keep on em bud and Bol!! 👍
@ridgeraider14 жыл бұрын
PineBeltRelics doing my best I hope y’all are well down there... I got a few more creeks in mind to try but so far the ones in the area around that one hasn’t produced anything yet... happy hunting fellas👍

I live in eastern Kentucky and creek walking here is tough. It’s really hard to find a good creek here I don’t know anyone who walks creeks for arrow heads. now western Ky is a different story I’ve seen many good videos from that part of the state but I won’t give up even if I have to walk them all. Great video my friend keep it up.

Congratulations on your creek finds!! I live in an area were you can find arrowheads in nearly every creek and stream and still know many people who can't find one. Can definitely understand why it is a big deal to you . Good Luck!

Tim Stokes I have been in many creeks but this one is the first one that I have found any evidence in however I do have a few others in mind that I’ve not tried yet that have sites in around them maybe they will produce...Thanks for the comment and best wishes

Really great! I'm just a few miles south in extreme N.E. Ga. and you are correct on the finds in the creeks being hard to come by here, for whatever the reason. I've got maybe two dozen full points, and have probably six or more hours in each one, probably more. Points are just harder to come by here than in the Midwest, the terrain is the controlling factor, along with lack of suitable easily knapped material. Be happy, you're doing good!
@ridgeraider14 жыл бұрын
Charles Spiva thank you so much! I agree 100% on the material and on the terrain/elevation being a contributing factor... but I do believe there’s some stuff to be found you just have to be a lot more selective on the creek... Best wishes to you and stay healthy👍

Definitely a good day in the creek ! And to me it's a big deal . That uniface point is nice , I might call it a White Springs . Flat on one side and convex on the other is a characteristic of that type .

ALABAMAHEADHUNTER That’s interesting I’ll have to look that one up while I’m on familiar with it...I hope you’re well sir and I wish you happy hunting... thanks so much for the comment👍

Buddy! West, good to see you out making an effort. My hunts today blew my mind! Streams have "sites" too? Do I have this right? Good day is relative... and I also believe it is older than Yadkin. I DEFINATELY am NOT staying inside the house!! Things will all change as fast as it has happened... just watch. I still do not know how in the world you dig them up!!

@jawanhunt77642 жыл бұрын
The first piece you found looks a bit similar to pottery shards. Pee Dee area commonly known for river clay pottery findings from the late and Great PeDee Nation who lived along the river, creeks and estuaries of the Great Pee Dee, and little Pee Dee rivers

Have you ever tried a wire mesh screen sifter for your sites?. Worth a shot. Looks like excellent spots to sift either digging bars or in creek itself. Keep looking!!!

The one that you called the yadkin is a pee dee it's a five sided point, comes from the yadkin PD River start something wilkesboro North Carolina cuz the Winston-Salem comes through Rowan county and eventually comes out below Charleston South Carolina.
@ridgeraider12 жыл бұрын
Yes I know now… very rare point in the mountains… that’s the reason I called it a Yadkins at first but realized it once I had done some research that’s the only one I’ve ever found around here…Been looking since the 70s

You need a shorter and less grandiose entro - l almost cut it off thinking that'd you'd be some ego hound kid with too big an opinion of himself that l wouldn't be able to tolerate. Other than the weird sounds before a picture it was a pretty good video, you seem like a nice guy with a working knowledge of arrowheads. But seriously, tone down and shorten your entro and l believe you'll get more subscriptions - including mine.
