Here’s a quick review of some of the key features of the MODEL1100 2 channel mixer. I won’t go into the technical aspects since I’m not qualified enough. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the walkthrough! What is the house knob for? And also, what microphone do you use? That recording quality is amazing haha

I‘ve recorded this on an Iphone 😂 Admittedly not much planning went into this video…

Hi there, just got one from Juno in London. Would love to know how you connected your two 1200s with only one ground? Would love some insight as I'm trying to get mine to work with both tables. Thank you!

very interested in this mixer, may i ask which USM haller model you are using to DJ on ?

Its a custom one that I configured to my needs. Used the editor on the USM website, its perfect for my height although might seem to too tall for others

Had an Ecler Nuo 2.0 before that. The sound quality has definitely improved but I’d say it can be very subjective (and as with every piece of expensive equipment there‘s a good portion of placebo involved as well…). In terms of actually playing: the Nuo had full kill EQs which the ARS doesnt (its not needed since you’ve got isolators). With the Nuo you had full control over how aggressive your faders cut in - withe the ARS you don’t. Also, not having gains is actually a good thing, I like that on the ARS you just have the channel knobs (and I rarely go past 8). One thing that takes a bit of time getting used to is doing quick blends, especially for genres like dancehall, dnb and disco to some extent. Having faders is quite useful in those cases. The ARS forces you to rely on your ears more often, which again takes some time getting used to but is enjoyable overall.

@@oronimbus i see. great feedback. Since i mostly play dnb after talking to a lot of people who use rotary i came to the conclusion its definitely not for that. Rotary is geared towards long blends, and more of a fine tuning and "slower mixing" style so to say. of course with the newest CDJs u can just sync and blend for ages but on vinyl you need to be a lot more accurate. Maybe that is easier with digital pitch, but having the old mk2/mk3 myself you definitely needs to put in the work for those amazing blends. I really hope you enjoy it as much as possible and as time passes for sure you will get better at it :D.

@@declin_ro3823 thanks man, I appreciate that! Do agree for dnb there are probably better solutions out there. The mastersounds valve might be a good fit since you got that x-fader on top of the rotaries!

@@oronimbus right now my eyes are on Formula Sound. If their NN 104 will be good quality i am aiming for that.

@@declin_ro3823 as a rotary user for around 5 years id say the main reason you should be looking at rotary mixers with a 2k upwards price tag is for sound quality and nothing else. the reason they have rotary knobs at all and no other bells and whistles is because the focus is 100 percent on sound and not ease of mixing, if mixing records is your priority a rotary is not going to be for you .

How u like the sound quality?

it's fantastic! nothing to complain really. I can only compare it vs my old Ecler mixer and not versus other rotaries.
