10 ай бұрынTaken from and old VHS. Season review under the management of Arsene Wenger. Arsenal had won the double the season before and had a close run with Man Utd again in 98/99. Anelka, Berkamp, Overmars and Kanu showed how talented they were, but it turned out to be Anelkas last season at Arsenal after being there only 2.5 years as he moved to Real Madrid.
Video had to be slightly edited for copyright in a few places but it doesn't impact on the video too much.

Dude, thanks a lot for posting this, I'm fascinated by videos of Arsenal in past seasons, they come from a time when I still didn't follow the club here in Brazil because there were no broadcasts and the PL hadn't been globalized yet... Now they are almost 20 years being a Gunner and I love Arsenal more and more ⚪❤⚪

We were so close to defending our title that season. The back four were brilliant in one of their last seasons and Overmars was 🔥🔥

I was at the Wembley game against Panathinaikos. Still have the match programme somewhere. My brother and I were sat about 5 rows from the Greek fans. Give them their due, they were dancing and singing all game, even at 2-0 down, and a proper friendly bunch outside the ground.

@@manhquannguyen1007 trust me. Even Liverpool in 08… doing wayyyyy too much helping of Man United. Also, now when I come to think of it… Didn’t United score 2 goals in injury time to beat Liverpool having been 1 goal down… with the same scenario occurring again with Forlan and Dudek?
