They also only spent about half of the money they made selling their top stars every season (forgetting the fact that they were also making MILLIONS as a Premier League top 4 team, they also had the most expensive season ticket price in the Premier League). So Arsenal at this time were basically homegrown, lightweight kids, with little to no leadership/experience. When any player showed potential, they were either sold to a direct rival (Man City) or Barcelona. It was a miracle they were in the top 4 for so long to be honest. Fans should’ve been more vocal during this period than they were.
