After winning the league in 1991, Arsenal failed to get back to those highs for a long time. As they slowly became a cup team and were labeled as "Boring Boring Arsenal," and faced many challenges and scandals. Until an unknown foreign manager was signed to build a new dynasty at the club......
When Arsene Wenger was signed to guide Arsenal, there were many doubts surrounding the Frenchmen. However, with his new training methods and diet regimes, he has reignited a somewhat aging team and managed to win the double. The criticism has now turned into praise....
Watch as Arsene Wenger guides Arsenal or the "Gunners" as their called, back to the top of English football as they compete against Manchester United for local dominance. Boosted with players like Bergkamp, Henry, Adams, Campbell, Pires, Ljunberg, Overmars, Vieira, Cole and many many more.

I feel that Wenger would've been able to attract star players and underpay them, and they would've joined simply for the chance to play for the man who "turned down the Real Madrid job" and made Arsenal a myth. Thus Arsenal could've continued to pay off their stadium debts, but would've been making much more money due to their marketing and commercial sales by attracting superstars like Franck Ribery(Marsseile) Wesley Sneijder (Ajax), David Villa (Valencia) and many other great players that I'm convinced would've wanted to simply play for Wenger. That being said Arsene Wenger wasted many prime years starting in 2002-2005 building a LEAGUE team, instead of coming up with a specific team and tactics to face European teams (defence orientated, using the pace of Henry as a counter attacking move)... Arsenal crashed out the GROUP stages of the CL way too often and when they made it out the group never went far, yet that match vs Inter at the San Siro in 2003 showed Arsenal had the firepower to bang with them hitters. AC Milan had the OPPOSITE philosophy, sacrifice league, go all or nothing in Europe, it lead to a Win in 2003, (2004 they chocked away a 4-1 lead and got ko'd early and guess what... They won the damn Scuddeto), final in 2005, semi final in 2006 and another win 2007. Arsenal between 2002-2006 should've adopted Milan's philosophy

For the youngsters who don't know this era of Arsenal glory - Wenger was Pep before Pep. People said their possession style couldn't hold up against English physicality. He proved them wrong. As Pep's playing career at Barca was coming to a close he called Wenger wanting to join. That's the clearest example of how influenced Pep was by Wenger's Arsenal. Unfortunately, the funding of the Emirates stadium (which was necessary because Highbury's capacity was only 38k, the rise to 60k would see matchday revenue rise by over 50%) caused the team to continually sell star players. Wenger and Arsenal dominated the transfer market in these days continually buying low and selling high to maintain top 4 an incredible 19 YEARS IN A ROW from 98-2016. Even Fergie only managed 18 in a row from 96-13.

Nah man Wenger was a great coach at his time, but he never overachieved. Especially in his earlier years he had a fantastic squad at Arsenal with the likes of Thiery Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Patrick Vieira, Robert Pires, Emmanuel Petit, Sol Campbell, Cesc Fabregas, Ashley Cole, and so on that undoubtedly had the quality to win league titles, fa cups and also ucl titles. The fact that Wenger failed to build continuous success on his players' individual quality is a blemish on his in other aspects incredible career.

As good as Arsenal were in the Arsene Wenger Years, he was always hampered by constant limited transfer budgets. He was instrumental in the rebuild of the Colney training ground - making it state of the art and bringing it up to date with a lot of modern equipment, and then the obvious construction and move to the brand new Emirates Stadium. It's crazy to think that he could sign quality players, build such strong teams and win titles and trophies with what little resources he had. An incredible man.

You`re not alone. To this day I say the ref cocked up by sending off Jens. I remember Souness after the game saying it totally ruined the Champions League Final for Arsenal, & the neutrals as a spectacle. He should have let the resulting tap in after Etoo went over, stand. I still believe we would have turned them over from 1-0 down. We would have still had Pires on the pitch, with over an hour to play.

The more you learn and know more about Asene Wenger, the more you respect him. Positive, respectful and professional in and out of the field. A decent human being. Worked for the dickhead Stan Kroenke unfortunately and all the failure and frustration from fans were not directed to the owner but transferred to him alone. When Wenger was the manger, fans pointed fingers at him for his fault, then he left. In came Emery, here we go again it’s his fault, then he left. Arteta stepped in, won 2 cups and 10th firm in the league, one week played like Arsenal and another like Sunderland and that begs the question: Whose fault is that exactly?

Great videos bro. Love these documentaries! Im from Norway and I have become a rosenborg supporter. "Rosenborg Ballklubb" was founded in 1917 and has two golden eras, one in the 60s , I believe. And of course the late 80s to the early 2000s when Nils Arne Eggen was the head coach. I personally think Rosenborg is the biggest club in Norway but if you want to make a video about some nordic clubs , then I would definitely recommend Rosenborg as one of them. Rosenborg won 2- 0 against real Madrid, drawed 1-1 against Juventus , won 3-0 against Borussia dortmund , and of course they won 2-1 against AC Milan at the san siro. Peace from Norway !🇧🇻😀😎

The Champions League loss to Barca and more recently the Europa League loss to Chelsea were some of the most painful memories for me. The team that won the double and Invincibles though should have done so much better in Europe. The team we had in the final was no where near as good as prime Arsenal. I think the EL one hurts because we played soooo well then bottle it against Chelsea in that manner. The Barca match is so frustrating due to the red card.. It does make you wonder what could have been if we didn't lose such an important player that early in the match.

To be an authentic Arsenal fan you must be old enough to have experienced the workaday football produced by Terry Neill, Don Howe and George Graham teams. My first game in 1968 at Highbury was a terrific match against Leeds, earnest endeavour epitomised the match, my gaze was transfixed to Jackie Charlton, his giraffe like gait something to behold. But the team provided honest, dogged, and determined football, the GG era really solidified Arsenal's boring reputation, the 89 team probably provided my favourite ever sporting moment. The Wenger era obviously provided great beauty and plenty of excitement, but the first ten years was an amalgamation of GG's 'boring' solid era and Wenger's imaginative, stylish tactics, this is my point, the greatest period in Arsenal's history was the binding of traditional values and the fresh, French fantasy of Wenger's tactics. Those who experienced the dreary days of Howe and Neill and then the joie li vive of Wenger's football have balance, I've always found the best supporters are those with football equilibrium, experiencing the joy of winning and the despair of losing, similarly, my preferred Arsenal people are those with similar symmetry to my own, appreciative of the workaday, ecstasy with the fancy stuff.
